Congressional Republicans on the bipartisan Inaugural Committee voted down a resolution by House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) naming Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden president-elect. The committee vote on Tuesday was 3-3, with all three GOP members voting against the resolution.
In a statement released after the vote, Hoyer accused Republicans of threatening democracy, “The extent to which Republicans are refusing to accept the outcome of the election and recognize Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as our next President and Vice President is astounding. Their continued deference to President Trump’s post-election temper tantrums threatens our democracy and undermines faith in our system of elections.”
The committee members are Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Hoyer, Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Sen. Roy Blount (R-MO).
Politico’s Heather Caygle reported via Twitter on the vote:
“NEW: The Inaugural Committee fails to pass simple resolution essentially acknowledging Biden as president-elect after all Republicans opposed. Hoyer offered the resolution, which failed 3-3. Other committee members are Pelosi, McConnell, McCarthy, Blunt and Klobuchar…The resolution was very basic, per folks with knowledge. It would’ve notified American people that Congress is preparing for inauguration of Biden and Harris “in coordination with health experts” as “we observe this transition of power.”

Blunt issued a statement on the vote saying, “It is not the job of the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies to get ahead of the electoral process and decide who we are inaugurating. The JCCIC is facing the challenge of planning safe Inaugural Ceremonies during a global pandemic. I would hope that, going forward, the members of the JCCIC would adhere to the committee’s long-standing tradition of bipartisan cooperation and focus on the task at hand.”

“Dominion Voting Systems inability to repeatably duplicate creditable election results”;

REPORT-The Coffee County Georgia Board of Elections refused to certify the electronic recount (3rd count) due to problems with #DominionVotingSystems inability to repeatably duplicate creditable election results. @GaSecofState re-certified the election results yesterday anyway.
Six ‘Rat, Urban Utopias have already deep-sixed American Democracy.
‘Democracy’ is nothing more than mob rule.
We have a ‘Republic’...........for now.................
More like “threatening the hard work we did stealing this election”.
It’s a ceremony. As Barry Soetoro and Johnny Roberts proved, it can be done in a small room with no one around.

ALL of Dominion’s execs should immediately be arrested. ALL the Dominion voting machines within the USA need to be impounded, forensics performed to find the cheat algorithms, then banned from ever being used again for anything...except maybe target practice if we ever get ammunition again.
Hoyer, you and your criminal ilk are not going to get away with this stolen election. Evidence comes out almost every day how much fraud/cheating occurred. It's not a "tantrum", it's protecting our election processes. Got to hell.
Drop dead, Steny!
Temper tantrums? I remember Peter Jennings calling the 1994 Republican takeover a tantrum.
i despised that guy jennings
asshat
This can be fun if we continue to make their lives miserable like they do ours for 4 years
What’s the rush, Hoyer

“Besides, they have a compelling case: In many precincts, the number of ballots (including blanks, which today might be called “undervotes”) and the number of people who voted don’t match. Clearly, someone counted wrong. After some legal wrangling, state Circuit Judge Ronald B. Jamieson, a Democrat, on Dec. 13 orders a recount of the 34 precincts in which the totals failed to match up”
I second the emotion.
Chuckle!
Hoyer use to come to my office in southern Maryland and basically campaign.
He would shake my hand and I would go wash it.
When Biden is President elect, we will so designate him as such. Until then, he is Former VP Biden.
What does an “Inaugural Committee” do?
Has there ever been a complete and adequate ‘splaination of dat?
Thank you, Democrats! ... For once again supporting my oft-stated allegation that all Democrats use the same MO: Democrats perpetrate bad stuff, then blame Republicans for what the Democrats themselves perpetrated.
In this case: Democrats perpetrate massive nationwide Democracy-destroying election fraud, and then blame Republicans for "Threatening Democracy."
Ok, Democrats, feel free to go ahead and continue constantly providing more examples, on a daily basis, that further support and prove my oft-stated allegation about all Democrat politicians!
