Total deaths allegedly increased by 169 while total Nursing Home (LTC) deaths rocketed up by 495.

Most fifth graders know that the subset (LTC) CANNOT be greater than the main set.

So, essentially, this is a harmless disease?

I have a question.
I’m not a medical person, so this is likely a simple-minded question.

I have a friend who was in ICU for 12 days with Covid.
She was not on a ventilator. She was on high flow nasal canula. My question - the patients who end up in the hospital, but not in ICU - why can’t they be sent home with the necessary oxygen or meds?

It would seem the thing that is badly needed this winter is not ventilators but those home oxygen machines. Seems patient could be sent home with instructions to the patient and family members. Seems like IV therapy could be given at home. I would think the patients who are able to be separate from other family members and someone to help them at home, would be better suited at home vs. hospital unless they are requiring ICU.

Some hospitals are no longer requiring the nursing staff to be all dolled up in full hazmat suits like what we were seeing early on, unless they are dealing with several covid patients. My sister works in FL and she said she’s had covid patients and the staff wears a PPC gown and N95 mask when dealing with them.

I’m going out on a limb here. But have these health expert geniuses considered that isolating the elderly from their loved ones is bound to create enough stress and depression to have many of those elderly basically just giving up? There comes a point where it takes very little lack of effort to have nature takes its course.

And more to the point, they aren’t getting it from their loved ones but from the facilities.

You have to read the daily doom from PA DOH, record the numbers, and then do the math.

Monday DOH reported 6952 LTC deaths. Today, 7447 LTC deaths. That is an increase of 495.

DOH does not list the LTC death increase in the daily doom, only the total.

I have been told Medicare does not pay for oxygen/associated equipment. Supplemental policies vary.

Could be this treatment is paid for if hospitalized.

My local PA rep (Dem) emailed me :

COVID-19 cases are at an all-time high level in Pennsylvania. The state reported a record 12,884 new cases on Dec. 5th. The state also updated its quarantine guidelines.
my response:
Has Wolf and Levine stopped killing the old folks in the nursing homes yet?

What Cycle Threshold are they using for the PCR tests?. The higher the number the more cases are found.

thx
