Texas Sues Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin at Supreme Court over Election Rules
Breitbart ^ | Dec. 8, 2020 | Joel B. Polack

The State of Texas filed a lawsuit directly with the U.S. Supreme Court shortly before midnight on Monday challenging the election procedures in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin on the grounds that they violate the Constitution.

Texas argues that these states violated the Electors Clause of the Constitution because they made changes to voting rules and procedures through the courts or through executive actions, but not through the state legislatures. Additionally, Texas argues that there were differences in voting rules and procedures in different counties within the states, violating the Constitution’s Equal Protection Clause. Finally, Texas argues that there were “voting irregularities” in these states as a result of the above.

Now THIS is interesting.

How many other states can we get to join in?

Which states DO NOT want to be governed by a president who cheated to get into office?

And they place the blame right where it belongs- on states who seem to want to ignore massive fraud.

Art III of the US Constitution....

Texas filed the suit directly in the Supreme Court. Article III of the Constitution lists a small number of categories of cases in which the Supreme Court has “original jurisdiction.” One of those categories concerns “Controversies between two or more states.” Texas’s suit is exactly that.

Just verified that Samuel Alito has SCOTUS jurisdiction over Texas as well as PA.

Praying that he will swiftly affirm standing for this mammoth lawsuit and that there will be a 5-4 decision in favor of Texas’ action.

We need Alito, Thomas, Amy, Gorsuch, and Kavanaugh to uphold equal protection of voting rights and invalidate Biteme’s EVs in GA, PA, MI & WI!!!

Maybe this will prove to be Biteme’s ALAMO!!!

Thanks Jane. The way I see it is as follows:

(1) Article III gives the Supreme Court jurisdiction over the case.

(2) The fact that the voting in other states can result in Texas being sent off to war gives Texas standing, at least for the national office elections in other states.

As a lifelong Marylander of 60 years, I fervently wish that our state would wake up and join this effort.

However, sadly, there is no real chance in this deep blue quagmire.

Moreover, our RINO governor Hogan, who’s already laying the groundwork for 2024, won’t allow any attempt like this to actually defend Constitutional rights.

Actually, I am trying to figure out the argument where Texas has any standing on what the other states do.

They big one is the violation of the equal protections clause. But Texas’s big problem is that they also made changes in Dallas, Tarrent and Harris counties that even the Texas SC refused to hear. It may require other states oke Tennessee, Florida, Oklahoma, Missouri, Mississippi, etc to put the gun to the head of SCOTUS. It is a good gamble though. Surprised they waited so long!

Why didn’t at least five others join Texas?

They did. (At least four, anyway). OK was one of them. In one of the other postings of this article, a commenter had links to the .pdfs of the amicus brief. Pretty cool. SOME states, at least, are stepping up.

You might have better luck if, after typing in the keywords you’re looking for, you manually select “Titles”. It’s not perfect, but it will bring up a bunch more than using “Keywords” as the search parameter.

I think it would be great if they could make “Titles” the default for searching, rather than “Keywords”.

although the changes can be argued by texas as not affecting the outcome of trexas from an extra-state perspective (touche to recalcitrant judges)

Thanks! That’s good news. Sometimes it pays to read the full article and the suit itself. ;>)
