Nothing is ever deleted. It certainly can be on air gapped machines which these are supposed to be but we do have testimony that they in fact were not air gapped in many places.

Nothing is ever deleted. That is correct only for rank amateur computer operators. Have you been watching episodes of forensic files on TV? Have you noticed all those hapless creatures who were simply deleting their files? I have a utility which will overwrite every byte and bit on the computer memory module for as many passes as you specify, overwriting random data on each byte. It is better than military grade destruction of data.
