Tesla CEO Elon Musk put his California houses on the market this year while he was sparring with state lawmakers over Covid-19 restrictions. He’s simultaneously been expanding operations in Texas and cozying up to Republican Gov. Greg Abbott.

Now, several of his close friends and associates say that Musk has told them he’s planning to move to the Lone Star State. The people with knowledge of his plans asked not to be named because their conversations were private.

Musk, the world’s second-wealthiest person behind Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, is in Texas frequently already. He spends most of his time between Austin, where Tesla and his tunnel start-up Boring Company have operations, and a coastal village called Boca Chica, home to a SpaceX facility. SpaceX started operating in Texas in 2003.

He may be a genius but he is still crazy. Or bipolar -which he once said he might be.

And sometimes...perhaps...his crazy rants are stock manipulation instead of bat$$$ crazy rants

Sometimes...he will say things right before something happens to turn the stock around

like this week right before the stock upgrade

dump before the pump

If he moves his operation o Texas he will then deploy millions in support of the sort of politicians he is running away from. I suppose that makes sense because he feels he will prosper in a socialist nation as part of the Elite, or of the Regime.

I would if I could.
CA is tipping; increasingly onerous State government policy is going to cut into real estate values in a crippling way this coming decade.
Those with high loan-to-value numbers will find themselves upside down.
Those who do not get out early will watch their equity evaporate; possibly in a period of just a few weeks. Depending what Democrats manage to do — especially if they destroy Proposition 13, which caps the rate of property tax increases — this could go bad in a shockingly short period of time.

No sane person should own CA real estate without a solid exit strategy, which might ultimately amount to, “Sell out to a gushing leftard who’s economically ignorant enough to think CA is a burgeoning Paradise.”

Texas should tell him to stay in CA or move to China. They don’t need another liberal billionaire in the Lone Star State.

No, this man is a genius, Tesla isn’t his only idea, the man founded and started paypal, the pioneer in online payments

And on top of that, he isn’t some doe eyed progressive libtard. A man of that caliber doesn’t look at things left or right, democrat or republican.

Most of these genius types are really weird Steve Jobs was like that too but I think him being the worlds second richest man now has just made him crazy enough to think he can actually get someone to Mars

Ever been to Van Horn? It would be like a blank slate. He could build his own little fiefdom exactly the way he wants.
