After 1,400 years of jihad violence against Jews everywhere that Muslims and Jews have lived in proximity, the Orthodox Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis, who serves as Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the British Commonwealth, says that he finds it “alarming” that so many Muslims in the United Kingdom are anti-Semitic. But given Islam’s texts, teachings and history, what else did he expect?
Rabbi Mirvis recently participated in an online debate about Israel’s normalization of relations with Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), along with the UAE’s Minister for International Cooperation, Reem Ebrahim Al-Hashimy; former UN General Secretary Ban Ki-moon; and Britain’s former Middle East Minister Alistair Burt.
In the course of the debate, Mirvis referred to a survey that found that 44 percent of Muslims in Britain believed in hateful and anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, and remarked: “This is an alarming rate, it’s nearly half of the Muslims in the UK. That underlines how crucially important engagement, dialogue and understanding is… There’s so much potential relating to Jewish-Muslim relations. I believe the Abraham Accords have unlocked certain doors for us.”
Yes, they have, but they have done so by laying aside the Islamic teachings that inculcate this deep hatred of Jews in all too many Muslims. If Rabbi Mirvis were to take the time to open the Qur’an, he would find that it depicts the Jews as inveterately evil and bent on destroying the well-being of the Muslims.

Only 44%? I would think it is more like 94%.
That is surprising. One would think the number would be much higher.
That’s probably below average.
100% is the correct answer
Really Rabbi? It’s more than 44%
What’s even more alarming is the other 56% that don’t admit it.
Alarming, yes. But also not surprising.
What, exactly, was wrong with the situation circa 1980, in which we Westerners stayed in our countries and the Moslems in theirs? It was much simpler, and everyone pretty much seemed happier about things.
> Mirvis referred to a survey that found that 44 percent of Muslims in Britain believed in hateful and anti-Semitic conspiracy theories <
All I got from that is 44% of Muslims in Britain answered the survey honestly.
Hmmm, 56% don’t follow muslim teachings?
Or are they just, under the doctrine of al Taqiyya, lying to conceal their true feelings and intentions to set up the Jews for the slaughter?
That’s like being surprised that water is wet.
The Muzz are envious.
It’s in their blood.
The other 56% are lying.
Only 44%?
👍🤪
There’s so much anti- Christian and anti- Jewish krap in the Koran! Ps: the big trespassing- mosque in Jerusalem is embossed with strongly anti- christian verbiage, has been for centuries
Duh!! Where’s this guy been? A hell of a lot more than that.
The Rabbi sounds to me like another uninformed so-called religious leader who knows nothing about a competitive religion.-Tom
So…. the moose-limb mosque preachers set aside extra time to pray for the destruction of Jews, they regularly refer to Jews as “murderers and bloodsuckers”, textbooks for children as young as 3 portray Jews as having monster-like qualities, songs, books, newspaper articles, and blogs are constantly comparing Jews to pigs, donkeys, rats, and cockroaches AND the Koran teaches this. So with all that, what evidence was Rabbi Mirvis looking at to think that there was different conclusion that could be reached?
