SOUTH CHINA SEA tensions spiked between the US and China when two ships came within 45 yards of each other, with Beijing "trying to push the US ship out of the way".
The footage shared by the US Navy displayed just how close a Chinese vessel came to its US counterparts as the forces undertook freedom of navigation patrols. As the ships drew closer to one another, Chinese military personnel could be seen preparing buoys to absorb any impact between the ships. In the footage, one US soldier is recorded saying: "We interacted with a Luyang- II DDG, CPA was 45 yards. "They were positioning in to close on our port side, they were trying to push us out of the way."

The story says the incident happened in 2018. Why is this now news? Is someone trying to rattle swords now for a reason?

According to international maritime rules of the road, the U.S. vessel had the right of way unless it was ‘overtaking’ (which the Chinese vessel could claim by increasing speed ).
They wouldn’t try this with a battleship.
The people of Taiwan and Hong Kong would be smart to pray for Trump to be sworn in on 1/20.
It isn’t news - it is theater for the little people. Red China’s economy was built by the US (as we destroyed our own manufacturing), and we continue to keep them in business - while importing tons of their people and educating tons more in our schools. This is all fake; while Red China is very much an enemy of the American working class and our way of life, their leaders are in bed with ours.
Years ago Western politicians warned of the evils of ChiComs; now they envy their control of their slaves.
