A couple learned what happens if you take a flight knowing that you are infected with the coronavirus.
You get arrested

This is a strange new world we are entering into where your medical records are made public. Isn't this a violation of HIPPA?
Yes, unless they signed a release.
Give them another test and they’ll probably be negative.
Both the PCR and rapids tests are like flipping a coin.
Their only purpose is to gin up the false-positive numbers so the hysteria can be maintained.
Kill all the bureaucrats.
The pandemic will disappear.
Old news. The thread from yesterday had a lot of outrageous people harrumphing about this invasion of privacy.
They were against this arrest. Unless of course they were also passengers on the plane, then of course arresting that couple was the prudent thing to do.
Just give them a coffee enema and lock them in the cargo compartment.
Not necessarily.
Persons at risk of contracting or spreading a disease. A covered entity may disclose protected health information to a person who is at risk of contracting or spreading a disease or condition if other law authorizes the covered entity to notify such individuals as necessary to carry out public health interventions or investigations. For example, a covered health care provider may disclose protected health information as needed to notify a person that (s)he has been exposed to a communicable disease if the covered entity is legally authorized to do so to prevent or control the spread of the disease. See 45 CFR 164.512(b)(1)(iv).
Yes, I believe you are correct.
Weren’t they wearing masks? Mask nazis insist we all wear masks to keep us safe from covid. /s
Since there’s so many false positives, how can one be sure “they knew they were infected”?
These are not false positives. People simply don’t understand what that term means. I will gladly concede that a PCR positive does not connote infective state. But falsely positive they are not
As usual, no mention of whether they had any symptoms; so how do we know they were really “infected,”?

MY BODY MY CHOICE!!!
Besides, were they wearing masks?
Exactly. My daughters father in law runs all the vet stuff at the Elks Club. One of the guys there came down with covid so they all had to get tested since they had a vet dinner to work on. Father in law went to CVS and the test came back positive. He was looking at the paperwork and it stated there was a 50/50 chance the positive outcome was correct. So he went to one of the quick places that charges you $150. Came back negative. Sure made a light bulb go off in his head.
If most of the tests have a 50/50 chance of being correct that would mean up to 50% of the positives are not. Maybe that’s where all those ‘asymptomatic’ cases are coming from. They don’t have it at all.
I would ask, what kind of test?
An antibody dipstick test is highly likely to return a false positive, since antibodies are not very specific (i.e. they might be able to detect coronaviruses, but can't tell the difference between different strains of coronaviruses, like common cold vs. Covid-19).
A PCR test is the most accurate, since it specifically detects Covid-19 genetic material. It cannot, however, distinguish between active infection and someone who has recovered but whose body has not cleared out all of the virus material.
A virus culture test would show whether the infection is active, but you still need PCR or sequencing to positively identify the virus.
When a person is carrying a communicable disease, they do not have freedom of movement. The health and safety of the people they might expose overrides their freedom to do whatever they want.

Looks like it was the free pcr since he waited a few days for the positive result.
If they tested positive at the airport where were they supposed to quarantine? In the terminal? Are the airports now conducting their own tests.
You’re more than welcome to spend the next two weeks sleeping at the foot of their isolation bed and report back to us.
