How Republicans can protect national security from Joe Biden and Kamala Harris
American Thinker ^ | 12/03/2020 | Paul E. Vallely

Joe Biden is our media-declared president-elect.  His ostensible win is terrible news for our national security.  A President Biden would lead to more foreign conflicts and more appeasement to China.  That's why it's critical that, over the next two months, President Donald Trump and Republicans implement policies that mitigate the threat he can pose to our peace and security.

Biden has long advocated foreign interventions that run contrary to the national interest.  He voted for the Iraq war in 2003 and continued to defend this decision long after the conflict proved disastrous for our nation.  Nor did he learn from that mistake.  In 2011, he supported Barack Obama's intervention into Libya, which turned the country into a failed state and haven for terrorists.  The former vice president also backed Obama's intervention in the Yemen civil war, a brutal conflict that has left tens of thousands dead and hindered peace in the Middle East.

Biden continues to support the endless war in Afghanistan.  He pledges to keep American troops in the desolate quagmire, despite no tangible goal or mission.  Biden also wants to keep America involved in Syria to "keep the pressure" on the Assad regime.  There is a good chance he would commit to a U.S. military intervention to topple Bashar Assad, depending on how events transpire.  His record of support for U.S.-backed regime change in Iraq, Serbia, and Libya shows he has no qualms about this idea.

I stopped reading the article right about when it said we have to mitigate....etc.

Trump won the election. As I see it, he’s still the president, and Biden will have to prove he won.

This is a farce. Republicans need to come together and fight for this man.

Hey, I got an idea. Why not just refuse to ratify a stolen election? Why not just shove the tons of evidence down their throats sideways?

Notice that the author practically comes out and calls Biteme the President. While MASSIVE voter fraud battle is still playing out. These Republican cucks just want to be the designated losers, as long as they still get invited to the good cocktail parties.

The author, Paul E. Vallely, has a very impressive resume.

What a shame to throw it all out the window and become a useful idiot for the leftist movement.

Trump won.

I don’t trust the Republicans to be able to do a damn thing. History, both ancient and recent, confirms my pessimism. They roll over and capitulate every time the heat is applied.

Show some spine, stand up for the fact that Nov 3 was a fiasco, not an election. What is the remedy for failing to hold an election - seems to me it is to hold an election [verifiable-paper, secure-chain of custody of sealed containers so no lost and found ballots, transparent]

Accepting a stolen election is no way to protect anything.

This travesty is far worse than a farce...it is a national disgrace. The GOP is directly responsible for this debacle. After all Trump has done for us, not one of these losers stepped up to defend him.
The dems are useful idiots whose main focus is to destroy what is left of our Republic.
mcconnell and the rest could and should have stepped in and stopped this kabuki early on, using whatever means available. Instead, after being re-elected for another 6 years on the tit, sit around doing absolutely nothing.

The dems are evil, but they are smart enough to know the GOP is worthless and will do nothing while our country is ravaged....The GOP is a disgrace.

We are all talking now about voter fraud being at the epicenter of maintaining a free republic. Though critically important, it likely takes second place to the outlandish approach in our society of exempting our politicians from passing a national security background investigation. Most would fail miserably. Take recent presidents, only Trump would likely have a chance of passing such a detailed investigation. Look how the MSM covered/censored the Beijing Biden/Hunter story and kept it from the American public. So the ‘public’ vetting process is a supreme joke. No one can convince me otherwise that Obozo was a slick Trojan horse who wouldn’t have gotten to first base passing a full-field background national security investigation. For Pete’s sake, even his birth certificate is fraudulent.

Reality denier. There’s only two possible outcomes. Trump prevails and the massive swamp is laid bare in all it’s corrupt stink. Or the deepstate prevails, and takes full, unbridled control of the country. It will never be like it was pre Trump.

His “win” doesn’t just cover national security, it covers EVERY damned thing to do with this nation as a FREE Republic. Even if Trump does run and win again in four years, the damage done by this mob in those three years will not be fixed in four short years that Trump will have to do it. Nope, the damage this mob will do will be forever.

This article makes the assumption that Republican politicians actually care about national security.

I’d like to see him veto the defense bill as a starter.

Their first move in national security would have to be to defend Trump’s election. If they don’t do that, we can assume they’re fitting themselves with a napkin tucked into their shirts preparing to feast off Chinese teat.
