STATEN ISLAND — Weeks after Rep. Max Rose conceded, the Associated Press finally declared Republican Nicole Malliotakis as the winner in New York City’s only swing district.
Malliotakis, the daughter of Greek and Cuban immigrant parents, previously ran against Mayor Bill de Blasio in 2017. She’s a member of the state Assembly who was first elected in 2010.
Her win ousted Rep. Max Rose, who was only the second Democrat to represent New York's 11th Congressional District in 30 years. In 2018, Rose, a veteran, had unseated Rep. Dan Donovan.
Malliotakis and Rose both released ads attacking each other as well as de Blasio, who is unpopular in the congressional district that includes Staten Island and part of Brooklyn.

Exactly right. Pelosi suffered significant losses of House seats and it’s limiting her power and/or influence. It also means that Republicans have a great chance of taking control in two years.

Nearly very one of them Voted to Impeach POTUS Trump as I recall, and that was based on False Information.
There are no Blue Dog Democrats left, they are all DEMONcRATS.
My district, Max Rose is a scumbag who marched with BLM to demand defunding of Police. He voted to impeach Trump after saying he would not. Worst of all he lies about the defund police march, fooled a Gold Star father into making an embarrassing ad for Rose saying “I know Max, anyone who says Max Rose wants to defund the police is full of crap.”
As I said Rose is a scumbag and Nicole is a great PERSON WHO WILL BE A GREAT congresswoman.
