Aussies banned from Australian island bought by Chinese developer

A Chinese real estate company that bought an Australian island has blocked its Aussie residents from living in paradise.

Residents say they can’t go back to their homes since developer China Bloom bought a 99-year lease to take control of Keswick Island in 2019.

“I just don’t think they want Australians on the island,” former island resident Julie Willis told the news program “A Current Affair.” “I think that they want to have this island solely for the use of the Chinese tourism market.”

The Chinese developer has gone as far as banning residents from renting their homes on Airbnb, which residents say has ruined tourism, and blocking them from entering the island from air, land and sea.

“There’s been no tourists since September last year,” former resident Rayna Asbury told the news program.

Keswick Island, which is owned by the Queensland Government, was declared a national park.

The Queensland Department of Resources told “A Current Affair” it hoped that any issued between the island’s residents and China Bloom can be resolved.

Indeed, while I believe that the Restrainer of lawlessness is the Holy Spirit, I also think He uses human agents. I think that Donald Trump is such a person, and it appears that President Trump is being removed although I hope not. China feared Mr. Trump but they do not fear the biden entity — they own him/it.

Hmmm... Interesting. It looks like 80% of the island is park and the remaining 20% the Chinese now own. It’s off the coast of Australia and is withing their clear borders.

It sounds like the developers are razing the land for their own purposes and don’t want loyal Aussies ratting them out to Australia.

That they leased it to a foreign company that doesn’t respect Aussie laws is insane and treasonous.

Australian laws are different alright

Australia leased an island that is a national park to a Chinese company. In this lease it gives the company the right to restrict Australian citizens from their homes.

This lease grants the company the power to exclude Australians from a Australian national park?

I believe Ms. Willis is incorrect as to the Chinese intentions. They don’t want it for tourists, but as a forward base. They’ll probably need to expand the runway.

Everything governments are doing aiding China is insane and treasonous.

Why is this happening?

It's like Lenin (?) said, 'the capitalist would sell the rope to hang them'.

that’s nothing compared to a conservative govt in Northern Territory leasing what is, arguably, one of Australia’s most strategic assets, the Port of Darwin, to the Chicoms. same with Port of Newcastle, another strategic port:

Wikipedia: Port of Darwin
In October 2015, the Chinese-owned Landbridge Group won the bid for a lease of Port Darwin. The then Country Liberal-controlled Northern Territory Government granted the company a 99-year lease for A$506 million...
Shandong Landbridge Group is a privately-held company with headquarters in the city of Rizhao, Shandong Province, China, which is owned by Ye Cheng, a billionaire with close ties to the Chinese Communist Party...

No Federal body has oversight of Australian ports which are the domain of state and territory governments...
Port of Newcastle, another port with a 99 year lease with a Chinese control.

Hank Johnson Congressmen from Georgia says not to worry because when the island is filled up with Chinese people it will tip over.
We all know the smartest members of the Democrat party come from Georgia.

forgot to include this Wikipedia excerpt re Port of Darwin:

Concerns have been expressed over the proximity of the port to a base where United States Marines are stationed on a rotational basis and to the international airport, which is used jointly for military and civilian purposes...
In August 2019, a proposal was launched by Federal Labor MP Nick Champion to re-nationalise the port, thereby ending Chinese control...

Give them a taste of the commie playbook. Let them build it up and then nationalize it.

The Chinese will rape that island for every speck of plant and animal life. They did it all over Big Island devastating a huge tract of Koa, sandalwood, and Ohia. They stripped the land bare, loaded up containers of wood, and left. They will do the same on this island. Next thing you know there will be a Chinese naval base and an air strip as they claim it is Chinese territory. Who will stop them? Biden? The EU?
