We moved from the People’s Republic of NY to a nice piece of land in NH with a good well and a decent sized garden.
I have all my seeds bought and the potatoes from last year.
I made sure that everything I bought was open pollinated variety, which means they breed true. Hybridized plants often do not even produce viable seeds and if they do, they do not look like the parent plant.
I have books on saving seeds and storing root crops that I bought years ago.
I am a big book person because if the internet ever goes down, there’s no googling up stuff we need or want to know and by then, trying to figure it out when you’re in the midst of the crisis, is not the thing to do.
And yes, I have been praying, too. I expect it to be very rough, no matter what the outcome.
