Americans should assume they are infected with the coronavirus — and get tested — if they traveled and attended large gatherings for Thanksgiving, Dr. Deborah Birx warned over the weekend. Well, I did and I’m going to presume I DON’T have it until otherwise proven that I do.
I assume everyone has it and I am not a mask person. I rarely wear one even when “required”. This is an easily spread virus that causes mild symptoms for most. It is widely prevalent and spreading fast. If you are worried about exposure then wearing a mask may, without supporting evidence, alleviate your concerns somewhat. Requiring others to wear masks may also help help reduce your concerns.
Eventually, and the sooner the better, most everyone gets exposed.
I have said that since the inception of the panic. Got labeled a FluBro here on the Formerly Free Republic. Got lectured many times on this forum about the wisdom of lockdowns “for just a few weeks”. Was told I was heartless. Was told that all the Freepers in their homes collecting a monthly checks had a right to be protected. Was told that lockdowns were out great sacrifice like those made during the wars.
But in the end we all get exposed.
How convenient.
EVERYONE gets tested.
The number of *cases* increases dramatically because of the increased testing.
Suddenly we're in the midst of a pandemic surge and everything needs to be locked down again for several weeks, until Christmas is canceled for everyone.
Just imagine how coincidental the timing is for that.
I believe what the retired Pfizer VP said - as with most of these kinds of things there's a significant percentage of the population that is simply immune from the get-go. There's another good percentage that has been exposed and either became symptomatic (or not) and now has immunity. There's no need for a vaccine because we are rapidly reaching the point where the virus won't be able to spread anymore.
The deep state pushing this "crisis" has just about missed their opportunity. The numbers are going to start falling, rapidly. So they need artificial means to increase testing so they can keep claiming thousands of "new" cases and push their agenda. I believe the retired guy with 30+ years in the business without a "dog in the hunt" more than the deep state and the people in the game chasing grant money. As far as I'm concerned, it's over. It never really was a thing to be concerned about, and now it is time to stop the BS once and for all.

So? COVID isn’t deadly to 99.997% of the people. This is comparable to the flu and I never saw people freak out about the flu.
One thing we’ve learned is that you can’t believe any expert on the government payroll. And that includes most of academia.
It’s way more than just COVID-19. All the people in close contact with each other will also spread common cold and influenza viruses, too. There’s a reason why the number of cases of common cold and influenza zoom through the roof between middle October and April in the USA, especially with close contact between people during Holloween, Thanksgiving Day weekend, Christmas, New Year’s Day and Hanukkah.

Exactly— there will soon be no need for a vaccine with true herd immunity— even IF (rather, WHEN) the virus mutates, which it already has done.
The gigantic pharma-scam huge payoffs (for which FAUCI is fully an active PROMOTER for his profit- obvious)— will not be realized. Pfizer in particular invested almost nothing out of their portfolio except pulling the mRNA genome formula from Fort Detrick and formulating. They got 1.95 Billion from the US (from us people) as an advance US gov. “order” for vaccine, to be applied to their distribution costs.
Their fed tax filings will show huge writeoffs of expense and the plus side (with forced vaccination) would be off the charts from ANY other injectable... including the Multiple Sclerosis injectibles requiring viatical policies to pay for them (insurance not fully covering).
I was okay with “flattening the curve” because we hadn’t known what ww were dealing with, but you turned out to be right on all counts. Right now, we have 20% who aggressively embrace their fear, and more than half who are more or less on board. Something has to happen about them before we can go back to the old normal.
My son had CoVid in the week plus leading up to Thanksgiving. He started out with body aches, then got a stuffy head. No fever. Then on the third day lost his sense of taste, the next day his sense of smell was gone. He had a very mild cough, and it stayed in his upper respiratory tract. He went for a CoVid test on the 4th day. It came back positive a week later, but by then he had recovered except for his taste and smell. Still has a tiny cough now and again. His doctor released him from quarantine on day 11. He is still mostly staying isolated but will go get groceries now instead of having them delivered.
He lives alone, so the isolation has been very hard on him, as it has others who are in that same boat. He was very much looking forward to being with us and my mother in law for Thanksgiving, but of course, stayed put in his apartment (out of state). We did a couple of FaceTime calls with him over the course of our visit with my MIL. I know it helped him not feel so alone, but we all would have preferred to be together. It just wasn’t in the cards this year.
As you said, this was about the same as any other cold most of us have endured at some point in our lives.
She doesn’t have a medical license. Why are we listening to her?
The desire to have everyone tested makes me wonder if Fauci, Birx, et al, have any stock or ownership of Quest and/or other CoVid testing companies.

Yet anyone who reads widely is aware that there have been reports of a motorcycle accident victim being reported as a Covid death. There are many who correctly report that all people dying from or with Covid and even suspected of dying from-or-with Covid-19 are all being counted as certified reportable must-make-the-headlines Covid-19 Deaths.
[Note: This is a long and rather detailed explanation of what leads to the situation in which we find ourselves regarding Covid-19 Deaths reporting. Various experts, journalists, bloggers, and pundits tells us that “Covid Deaths” are being over-counted, mis-counted and even under-counted.
