Small business confidence has fallen to an all-time low after the election of former Vice President Joseph Biden, according to the Q4 CNBC|SurveyMonkey Small Business Survey.
With a confidence index reading of 48, Main Street’s outlook is now below where it was during the second quarter of this year (49), when lockdowns across the nation were increasing amid the first wave of Covid-19. That Q2 number had been the all-time low previous to the just-completed survey, conducted Nov. 10 to Nov. 17 among more than 2,200 small business owners nationally, using the SurveyMonkey platform.

Says everything
Don’t worry the eclectic mix of one-of-a-kind restaurants, cafes, boutiques, etc. that make most of America’s downtown areas and older neighborhoods interesting will be giving way to soulless chain stores (i.e., “now all restaurants are Taco Bell”). Soon urbanites will enjoy the cultural wasteland previously known only to families living in newer suburbs in places like Northern Virginia.
Look at the bright side, this will destroy the entrepreneurial middle-class spirit and increase the concentration of wealth in the top 1% of the population. So, congratulations Democrats, this is what you wanted, apparently.

And yet, how many people still believe the Democrat party is for the little guy. I am losing all hope for this country. Glad I got to live most of my life as a free man.
That happens when overreaching aholes put 70% of them out of business.
I am more surprised it is CNBC that wrote this article. Are they preparing us for the Kamala takeover? Is this the end of Joe?

After all of this time, why would the media allow a morsel of truth to escape?
Small business is taking it in the ear while the big guys are cleaning up. Big government is feeding big business. Screw the little guys.
Thinking about what to do with my business if we loose the senate. The democrats want to pass the pro union right to organize act bill PRO ACT. The senate is the only foil.
I run a 113 year old family business that is all labor and I will shut it down before being organized. I have what I need for my family to survive for a couple of generations. Covid has really caused us to have a lot of red ink and consider what to do going forward. I see a nation of big business without multi-generation family businesses.
Very sad time for America.
