Pa. lawmakers go silent after Trump summons them to White House
York Dispatch ^ | November 27, 2020 | William Bender of The Philadelphia Inquirer and Angela Couloumbis of Spotlight PA

President Donald Trump on Wednesday summoned Republican members of the Pennsylvania legislature to the White House after a GOP hearing in Gettysburg in which Trump phoned in to reassert his false claim that he “won Pennsylvania by a lot.”

But on Thursday, no one wanted to talk about the meeting.

The White House did not issue a public statement about the visit, and lawmakers who made the trip to Washington were silent.

President-elect Joe Biden won Pennsylvania and its 20 electoral votes by 80,555 votes, according to the results Secretary of the Commonwealth Kathy Boockvar certified Tuesday. The former vice president is ahead in the national popular vote by about six million votes. Election officials across the country have found no evidence of widespread fraud, as Trump has alleged.

Even with the Biden transition underway, the president is pressing ahead with increasingly desperate attempts to invalidate the election or raise doubt about Biden’s legitimacy as the incoming president.

So the case you cited isn’t a perfect, apples to apples comparison, perhaps.

Not perfect, but it pretty clearly establishes that when the US Constitution says a state legislature "may determine" something, whether it's the process for choosing representatives or electors, they really mean "the state" may determine that thing.

It's almost impossible to imagine any state agreeing to ratify the US Constitution with a provision allowing a majority of the state legislature to unilaterally override that state's constitution.

Yes! I have more than one thousand reporters working for me, Fox has a dozen or two. Same with NBC, CBS and ABC. CNN the same.

My network is much larger. It’s we the people. Not we the networks.

“The B-Team media is being left in the dust. Once upon a time, the MSM, FB, Google and Twitter could be a dam on a stream about information. Now, they are but a boulder in the Colorado River, with the rapids running right around them. There is a river of citizen reporters and keyboard warriors out there.”

“Election officials across the country have found no evidence of widespread fraud, as Trump has alleged.”

They only cheated where they had to.

Thanks again. My original comments on this thread are similar to this line of thinking. However, this or any other precedent is obviously not binding on the current USSC should they become further involved in this matter.

And the fact that the current election operation officials in the state did not follow the current USSC order to keep certain ballots separate from counting, may give them adequate cause to side with proposed remedies provided by the current state legislature, could it not? Thanks again.

And SCOTUS has ruled that power must be exercised within the framework of their state constitution, which in PA means they have to pass a bill and have it signed by the governor. See Smiley vs. Holm..

Nope.

The above link immediately goes to the 35:00 mark.

If you are on a desktop or laptop you can do this by

1. Stop YouTube at the time point you want.

2. Click ‘Share’.

3. In the popup window, go to the bottom left and click the box marked ‘Start at xx.00’ which is the time you stopped at.

4. Click ‘Copy’

you’re all set to send it to someone else and it’s ready to go at the very spot you want them to hear first.

Nicely presented: it’s an EXTREMELY strong case and hard even for the lawbreakers themselves to deny.

Did they really evict Republican watchers in ALL those swing states during that 5 hour period? I know about Pennsylvania and Georgia...did this also happen in Wisconsin and Michigan? I know in some states they kept them so far away they might as well not have been there, using the pandemic as an excuse: maybe that was Wisconsin.

Furthermore, even if the Pennsylvania does say so, how could the Pennsylvania constitution exceed the authority of the United States constitution?

If that were possible, then Texans need to make some amendments to the Texas constitution banning abortion, removing exemptions for Facebook, Twitter, Google, etc... and correcting a whole bunch of other things! Texans seem to pass constitutional amendments almost every other election cycle.

> hopefully with the death of the Democrat Party.

I really want to see some lawbreakers serving prison time at the very least. May God do it.

They have been breaking the purported 11th commandment established in the movies for far too long: “Thou shalt not get away with it!” ;-)

You may find out in the not too distant future that the cheating algorithm was used across the entire country. The treachery was designed to fix and maintain a percentage for biden. The six or seven CITIES that are being called the battleground were the pocket aces where the seditionists had reserve ballots to swamp the counts in WI, MI, PA, Georgia, VA, and Maricopa county (Phoenix).

The Phoenix cheat will be revealed when the set aside ballot numbers which were transferred as accepted votes for Biden. The 'green button' scam was perpetrated by the forced use of Sharpie markers. EVERY state that has been given to biden should be examined for the application of the cheat algorithm. The methodology is a feature of the SOFTWARE program used in the machines.
