Compare to red states, who enjoy freedom.
Fixed it
Using the fire department as the Gestapo.
Yes, we want mathematical death rates, NOT inflated and false daily covid positive tests. Turning police and firefighters into the blue state governor’s personal covid gestapo is unconstitutional.
Yup, I hate that. When I was a fire inspector in the fire department when they passed a ridiculous city no-smoking ordinance and made the fire department do it because they knew the cops wouldn't and firefighters are seen as "good guys".
Law abiding Americans are being treated worse than those who have been destroying businesses, engaging in arson, shooting police and murdering people on the streets. These power hungry anti-American governors need to be stripped of their self-conceived power and arrested.
They say when orders are given to arrest gun owners, police wouldn’t comply.
Everywhere I look I see compliance.
A FALSE pandemic does not override the Constitutional rights of the citizens.
Our elected leaders derive their just powers from the consent of the governed.
We need to remind our elected leaders that it is we who run America, not them !
Get a rope !
There must be bodies everywhere.
Not gonna happen. There are loads of freepers junping on the mask and forced vax wagon. If its lots of folks on here begging the government to save humanity by force.. how much moreso in everyday amerika.
Could somebody please, for the love of God, let the firefighters actually enforce normal code compliance and — get this — fight actual fires???
If my state (Maryland) had a curfew, I would remember to take a nice stroll through town each night that I could after the curfew time. :-)
Yep, that virus gets so much more viral after 10 pm. /sarc
They have no such authority
Firefighter Hochstedder just doesn’t sound right.
Uh, don’t even cops need a warrant to enter someone’s house to write a citation? Under what authority granted by the citizenry through their representatives are they supposedly acting and shouldn’t they cite to an “offender”? Just curious since you have experience in this area.
Under the smoking law they had us involved in (and it looks like the directive they're acting under in this article), only businesses and not homes were affected. It would be similar to the type of drop-in checks that fire marshals make to bars, etc., to make sure occupancy limits aren't exceeded on, say, St. Patty's Day. A warrant would only be needed if a business owner refused entry.
