Hospitals will be allowed to care for Medicare patients in their own homes during the pandemic under a government program announced Wednesday to help hospitals deal with the latest surge.
...The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services said it will let hospitals quickly launch home programs...Hospitals would need to meet certain standards to participate. Those include providing twice-daily visits by medical workers and equipment such as blood pressure and oxygen-level monitors, and keeping patients connected via an iPad or other device to a command center ...

Thanks, President Trump :)
Who supplies and pays for the internet backbone and bandwidth?
Excellent idea, ripe for fraud. These expensive home visits will be exploited fraudulently to the tune of millions, I can already see the opening credits to the American Greed episode in the future.
medical folks making housecalls again? this virus ROCKS.
How much will they charge for my room?
Wow...think how out of control the surge will be now.
Thousands of dollars...errr, cases for the cost of a few ipads...
No doctors will not be making house calls.
You will get in home caregivers and possibly a nurse visit per 2 weeks or a month. The Medicare /Medicaid system will be drained and abused. And if globalists have their way, you tax money will pay for this globally. The quality of care received will be substandard.
This is likely more about dual-eligibles and Medicaid costs than Medicare alone.
Wow you all are out of the loop, the Medicare health plans have already been doing virtual home visits and income visits sense at least early April.
Is a negligible use of existing bandwidth for most.
I think this should have been done from the beginning. And use cruise ships for elderly.
Not affiliated with any particular org.
IMO, the worst place to go is to a hospital if you are NOT extremely ill.
BTW, My sister in law, who dang near died from this virus, went to the ER and they sent her home with Tylenol. Thats it! Two days later, she ended up in the ICU and they never gave her anything UNTIL they released her to home, then they gave her meds...what I never found out. My brother, her husband had it and got over it and he in the last stages of terminal liver failure. Their son, my nephew, got it and recovered without any medical intervention.
Two weeks ago, my sister who is 85 got it in a nursing home. She never showed ANY SIGNS of any symptoms. She is now out of quarantine and back in her normal room.
I would NOT GO to any hospital to get released without any medical intervention with meds. WTH?
Better to go to a veterinarian
Problem is surgeries, they might need, my Mitral Valve leak could blow up from stress on the Enlarged Heart with fluid around it.
Those masks restrict already diminished shallow breathing. OX level runs low as is.
