Our closest allies opposed getting out of the JCPOA us and still resist our efforts to isolate Iran.His (extremely vague) point seems to be that by doing something even if our allies don't agree with it, some unspecified other thing will occur later on that will be detrimental to our own position. Even if they did not agree with reimposing sanctions on Iran, there has been no such result. Nor is there any logical reason to think it would happen.
He said that as a result of us insisting on doing something that they disagree with, they will "compromise with aggressors, take actions opposed to U.S. interests, opt out of assistance when the United States needs it, or cooperate with one another on activities from which the United States is excluded." That hasn't happened and the idea that they would do something like that because they don't agree with us reimposing sanctions on Iran makes no sense at all. It's actually quite stupid.

Mattis hated “mad dog” from what I’ve heard. Any Marine with balls would have loved to been called that.When Trump started realizing what Mattis was really like, he tweeted one time about "Moderate Dog." I fell out laughing!
I hope Trump never loses his sense of humor. The swamp have certainly given him much to laugh at.
