-——they are also leaving in droves——

That’s what they say, but what is the real evidence? How do you know that droves of people are actually leaving? how is it measured? Are business closings apparent? Are they just moving to suburban new york and new jersey or are they actually getting the hell out of dodge?

This is a very interesting sea change event

Maybe NYer’s should hire B. Goetz? He seems to be the only one in NYC who ever had the intestinal fortitude to deal with the problem as it needed to be dealt with.

> Fire every one of them and tell them to go get a job as a bus boy if they don’t feel up to enforcing the law. <

I’m not the biggest fan of the police. But I very much doubt if the cop on the beat is at fault here. The insane rules are being made by the folks at City Hall.

I suppose the beat cop could - and should - ignore those rules to an extent. But maybe after you’ve arrested your third subway vagrant, your captain would call you in. Arrest one more, and you’re in trouble. Arrest two more, and you’re out of a job.

By the way, I faced something similar when I was an inner-city high school teacher. The word came down from central administration to severely cut back on student suspensions. And they really meant it! But suspensions were often the only way to keep an orderly classroom. So for the teachers it became a crazy, maddening balancing act.

re> There are no factories

Not true. There is a huge amount of clothing manufacturing in NYC.

“I think I’m gonna be sad
I think it’s today
The girl who’s driving me mad
Is going away
She’s got a ticket to ride
She’s got a ticket to ri-i-ide
She’s got a ticket to ride
And De Blasio don’t care”

Heck, NYC was a wreck from Lindsey (1966) to Guiliani before it was straightened out the last time.

Duhh! The proof is in the pudding... when Gulianni was in charge crime was rampant and no one obeyed any laws, then the Law and Order democrats come in a fix everything screwed up by the Republicans... oh wait..

By the number of NY license plates I see in northern NH, ME and VT.

By the real estate sales and prices skyrocketing in all 3 states.

By the number of NYC accents I hear at the grocery store, Home Depot and Lowes, etc.

It's an invasion.

‘You’re on Your Own’

And if I run into a problem, and if I handle it on my own -- they will come down on me like a ton of bricks.

Absolutely correct on all counts.

This is absolutely accurate. With the crazed libtards in charge, it is not the perps who are punished for their misdeeds, but those who keep order. Absurd? But, dear FRiends, that is the mindset of the mentally deranged known as libtards. Their inner compass of basic right and wrong is seriously malformed and aberrant. The police arresting thieves, rapists, burglars and murderers are the bad guys, while the teacher who maintains order in the classroom so that kids can fulfill their purpose in being there is at fault, doncha know. In NYC, the ghetto-thug-loving trainwreck parody of a mayor put in place policies which basically granted black and Hispanic kids laissez-faire to disturb classes so that the other kids could not learn, use cell phones in class, walk around halls disturbing classes, vandalizing and smoking dope, assaulting teachers and other students, etc. The natural and normal thing to do would be to suspend such students. But no--teachers who sought to discipline students were the ones threatened with punishment for doing a proper job, which happened to be at odds with skewed libtard thinking and policies. Imagine--a kid steals another's backpack and the teacher gets into trouble for suspending them. This is why you see NYC sinking below the waves and many other dummocrap cities across the U.S.

Last week the US Census bureau came out with the monthly US Housing starts & permits report. Overall starts were up 14%.

However, when you look at the numbers regionally they tell a dramatically different story by region:

Midwest +23%
South +24%
West +5%
Northeast (-33%)

Also, the type of houses being constructed has greatly changed from the last ten years:

Multi family (-18%)
Single Family +29%

People are moving out of apartments and moving to detached homes in the country or suburbs. They are leaving the northeast and heading south. The shift out west is leaving California and moving primarily the other western states.

So, it is not just NYC that is experiencing the mass exodus. It seems to be worse than everywhere else.
