Analysts no longer consider Ohio to be a swing state, as its “blue wall” was breached in 2016 by then presidential candidate Donald Trump, as well as many other Republican candidates down-ballot, and has remained so in the 2020 election.
“It’s way off from being the swing state it was several decades ago,” said NBC News contributor David Wasserman, adding that he believes Ohio is no longer a bellwether state that predicts the outcome of a presidential election, reported NBC News.
If Joe Biden takes office in January, the former vice president will be the first candidate to win a presidency without carrying Ohio since 1960.
The report added that many Ohio counties have turned increasingly red since 2012, with only 38 percent of Trumbull County voting Republican in the 2012 presidential election, compared to 54 percent in 2020.

I suspect Ohio and Florida are a lot alike. Lots of cheating Democrats registered to vote, but the Republicans have been able to put into place laws that prevent Democrat fraud.
What is the ratio of registered DEMS VS GOP in Ohio.

Just wait until the next GOPe Presidential candidate. That chump will turn Ohio blue in a flash.
I agree with the second part of your comment and you probably wonder if WI, MI, and PA were to effectively countered Democrat fraud in Milwaukee, Detroit, and Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, they’d likely be red states as well.
The only reason that is was red this time is because the fraud was concentrated in other states. Next time it could be Ohio again.
Ohio _still_ is a bellweather state.
All the “experts” are in deep denial about the massive fraud elsewhere.
I think Ohio was ready to cheat if need be.
My patriotic neighbor is headed out today to a farm he bought in Ohio. Probably a great place to go, middle America.
How can anyone propose analysis of this election with a straight face?
America has been dealing with election fraud for decades which makes farce of the pontificating “analysis”.
Criminal analysis would provide more insight.
Richard Baris of “the People’s Pundit” described how Florida put in simple but strict and common-sense laws on registration, cleaning voter-rolls, and mail-in ballots.
Its elections are clean, and thus, the results on Nov. 3 weren’t close, nor debatable.
If every state had simple, strict, and clear procedures, Democrats wouldn’t win 1/3 of the races they do.
Pretty much. The media is trying to rationalize how the heck Trump would handily win "swing states" like Ohio and Florida in a national election he "lost" overall, while Biden supposedly "won" much more GOP friendly states like Georgia and Arizona.
So the official spin is that OH and FL are "no longer swing states" and they've both someone become strongly Republican overnight, and will be for the foreseeable future.
Of course its BS, there's no way the current demographics of FL are much more conservative and much more of a GOP stronghold than neighboring Georgia. Nor is Ohio to the right of Arizona, but at least Arizona had a legitimate excuse of the RATS winning in a fluke because of backstabbers like Jeff Flake and Cindy McCain convincing gullible right-of-center voters to crossover and vote Biden.
I expect both Ohio and Florida will be hotly contested by both parties in future elections. I'm sure the RATS would have loved to have stolen those states, but they didn't have the behind-the-scenes infrastructure and election law loopholes to do so. The RATS actually had a very good chance of carrying FL in the 2020 presidential race (thanks to all the newly registered felons voting RAT), but were DOA there once Trump did so well with minority voters.
In 2020, one 1 of these counties went for Biden. A percentage of 5.263% for the most reliable bellwethers in the country.
There absolutely was fraud going on in Fulton and DeKalb county. However, Florida and Georgia do in fact have different growth patterns and Florida is trending right and has been for a couple of election cycles while Georgia has been trending left.
Almost all of Georgia’s growth has been in the Atlanta metro. There are A LOT of “woke” rich white marxists in the Atlanta area. There has been a flood of these idiots into Georgia from places like New Yawk, New Jersey and Maryland to take tech jobs in the Atlanta area. They have invaded places like Cobb County and utterly destroyed it. (The same thing happened to NOVA in Virginia.)
The growth pattern in Florida has been different. While Florida has also had a lot of growth from the Northern States, many of these are older more Conservative retirees who are sick of being taken advantage of by the government and who have retired to Florida without bringing leftist thought with them.
You also have the dynamic of the Cubans who know what it is like to live under Communism and who desperately want to make sure America doesn’t repeat that mistake. (Hence the MASSIVE shift in Miami-Dade from 2016).
Proud to have been born and raised in the Buckeye State...in Mason, Ohio!! I’m now a Buckeye in the Hoosier State.
Pennsylvania is no longer a swing state either. President Trump crushed Biden by at least 800,000 votes in PA.
Michigan is red until the computer takes over. Same for Arizona, Wisconsin, Virginia, GEORGIA, etc.
I Fully concur with the “analysts” that OH is off the “swing list” (so long as we don’t nominate some Romney POS next time that blue collar votes will flush). Ohio was not a swing state after 2016, GA and AZ were both closer 4 years ago than Ohio. Confirmed by the 2018 elections with GOP winning OH other than incumbent rat Senator beating a replacement candidate after GOP front-runner dropped out. In 2006, the last shit midterm, I think the rats swept the state.
I do not believe GA and AZ were carried by Franz Joseph, however there is no mistaking their bad trend and the fact that they were competitive this time (and OH never was outside of dem fantasy backed up by fantasy polling). Midterm was bad in AZ, losing Senate seat and SOS. GA wasn’t good either nearly losing the Governorship to a psychotic bitch (other statewides were holds as well) who clearly would have won if she was just slightly less a psychotic bitch, and losing a suburban House seat to a gun control black mother.
Whatshisname the one of 2 or 3 ‘good’ pollsters, Barris, said he thought Trump would win AZ but that it was probably “gone” next time. Though signs were looking up the last week or so in AZ to the point I penciled it in. It was definitely more likely for Biden than Florida though, if you didn’t realize that you weren’t paying attention.
GA is especially hard to believe. The problem with GA is there are a lot of blacks, with those suburban whites souring...there you have it, GOP needs super majority white vote in southern states with too many blacks. I expected it close but for shithead to be unlikely to dig much past 48%, getting over the hill in GA should be like pulling teeth for the rats no matter how close they can come.
Florida is interesting, if you told me Trump wins Florida by over 3 I’d have said it was over. Apparently gains among Hispanics (Miami Cubans but also Orlando!! Meaning Puerto Ricans didn’t kill Trump as predicted but moved his way compared to 2016, possibly the new voters from the Island who left after the hurricane? I assume they don’t watch CNN.) accounted for the gains and then some, swings in other areas would have given Biden the state otherwise. So this anomaly can be explained but it’s still very “curious”.
South Texas also trended Republican, I don’t know about other states, it doesn’t seem likely Biden would win NV or AZ if the same thing happened in those states. Also curious.
Spot on
Ohio exhibits a number of the statistical oddities that the four main contested states do, as if it was tried there and shrugged off.
John Kasich is deeply saddened.
I'd go as far to say....
All the "co-conspirator's" are NOT in deep denial about the massive fraud elsewhere...they just want to shine the flashlight somewhere else..
that's why they're "co-conspitators" and not EXPERTS!....
