House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy is calling on 23 House Democrats to help the GOP "free up" nearly $140 billion in unspent Paycheck Protection Program funds that he said can save small businesses struggling financially during the coronavirus.
McCarthy called lockdowns being imposed by states across the country amid a COVID-19 case surge "fatal" for businesses and said it is time to get relief to those suffering the consequences of government-mandated restrictions on certain types of "non-essential" commerce.
"I just sent this letter to the 23 House Democrats who told Pelosi in September that they would move forward with COVID-19 relief with or without her," McCarthy tweeted on Friday. "Now it's time for them to live up to their word."

Never beg a democrat. Kevin McCarthy is another RINO.
McCarthy will have to bend over first
Yup, almost as useless as Paul Ryan. Jim Jordan should be speaker.
I'm always glad to see a Republican throw the ball into the Demonrat court and hit Pelosi in the head while he's at it.
Good move.

McCarthy is putting the Dem members on the spot and marking them for defeat in 2022. The unexpected GOP House gains this year are primarily due to McCarthy’s efforts.
And Pelosi will say that the House passed a plan and if the Republicans were serious then they would support it, thus whipping the ball back at McCarthy's head. Nothing will get done because neither side wants something to get done. They want the issue, not a solution.
If Biden wins and they win the Senate they will pass a much larger bill and bail out CA, NY, and IL.
How about No more spending.
You're not going to find anyone from either party who will sign on to that.
It's almost certain that they would.
There is no such thing as a bipartisan DemonicRat.
There is no bipartisanship on either side. The concept of working across the aisle died decades ago.
