Hand recount of 5 million votes still needs to be certified A top Georgia elections official says a hand tally of the presidential race in Georgia is complete, and the results affirm Democrat Joe Biden’s lead over Republican President Donald Trump. Gabriel Sterling released the information to The Associated Press on Thursday. The hand recount of nearly 5 million votes stemmed from an audit required by a new state law and wasn’t in response to any suspected problems with the state’s results or an official recount request. The state has until Friday to certify the results that have been certified and submitted by the counties. Once the results are certified, the losing campaign can request a recount.

I feel strongly this should have been an audit v recount, but I am concerned about what this means in relation to the Dominion allegations. Had a computer been flipping votes, a recount should have picked up on that no? It seemed in two counties that may have been the case, but not nearly as pervasive as it would need to be.

Why did the recount go 1000 times faster?
They need to do an audit, not a recount. Wood’s TRO was dismissed but he’s appealing to the 11th Circuit.
I have not seen the recount numbers yet but if there is not at least a 6% discrepancy, then the perception will be that Sidney Powell’s argument does not hold.
