An Allegheny County judge ruled on Wednesday that 2,349 mail-in ballots can be counted because they were received by Election Day even though the voters failed to date the outside envelope of their ballot. It’s one of several technicalities that election officials and the courts are sorting through in this election.
“We think, the General Assembly thinks, that those requirements are not negotiable, are not waivable,” attorney Matt Haverstick told KDKA political editor Jon Delano on Wednesday.
Haverstick represents Republican state Senate candidate Nicole Ziccarelli who is 28 votes behind Pennsylvania Sen. Jim Brewster, a Democrat, with some mail-in and provisional ballots to be counted in Allegheny and Westmoreland counties.

To the Supreme Court.
The U.S. Supreme Court.
I think the state courts in PA are on shaky ground with deciding what the legislature should have passed.
Not yet.
At the risk of stating the obvious there has to be some consistency and common rules as to how our voting systems work.
We try to spread democracy around the world yet our own voting systems at home are a disgraceful mess.
Judges have NO authority in this matter.

Put the judge on the list of people that need to disappear from the face of the earth.
This person may have a better case to go before SCOTUS because it WILL make a difference on the outcome of the election without needing something from any other state.
What a laughing stock these easygoing election offices are. No dates, no problem.
All with a left handed signature in the same handwriting with characteristic loops and filled in Pentel ballpoint pen light blue ink for the tiny letter “e”-—coincidence. All arrived in one shipment at one time as the Dem was behind and turned the tide—amazing but ok.
To quote a declining dementia victim: “C’mon, man.”
They need to have the votes counted and certified before the USSC can rule that it is unconstitutional. That gives them the “they are disenfranchising voters” screaming talking point.
How long after election day can these democrats continue this before the United States Supreme Court says NO?
The law is clear
And the dems want to waive the law because they believe they benenfit
They sure dont waive the law otherwise, they crucify you with the law if they desire to
The law is what it is
The court is acting illegally
The legislature passed those laws lawfully and properly
What does the Law that the State Legislature enacted under Article 2 section 1 of the US Constitution?? That will be the Final result at the USSC
SCOTUS may disagree.
ALL ballots must here Ives by 8:00 pm on Election Day!!! That is the law in Pennsylvania signatures MUST MATCH and has to be postmarked by Election Day!! This ruling will be thrown out at SCOTUS!!{
here Ives = arrive. OOPS
