While most jurisdictions have just about finished tabulating 2020 Election results, many observers are highly unimpressed that it’s taking New York City so long to count every ballot.
The New York Times released their latest look at the election data from the state and found that only 84 percent of the estimated vote total has been processed, and there is a large fraction of outstanding votes in multiple counties.
By the Times’ estimation, only 56 percent of the votes have been reported from Westchester county, 60 percent from Manhattan, 64 percent in Queens, and 74 percent in the Bronx. The Atlantic’s Derek Thompson noted that this data comes nearly two weeks after Election Day.
Political observers from both sides of the aisle are wondering why the count has taken much, much longer than a New York minute...

Let me make a wild-arse guess: 100% of those uncounted Manhattan ballots will be for Harris (oh yeah, and biden too).
What do I win?
Making election fraud seem reasonable is Hard.
The #ComDems Must wear this!
Nassau County — the suburban extension of NYC voted for Hillary in 2016, voted for Trump in 2020.
Just deem them for Joe Biden and be done with it.
That fact you stated proves it doesn't remotely make sense that Biden supposedly won. What utter BS this "election" was!
Jeez, don’t these people know that Democrats can’t do anything right and break everything they touch.
And we are supposed to believe Biden won?
Gee. Another one of those weird anomalies of the 2020 election.
If we could actually see a picture of the Manhattan vote counters the delay would make complete sense.
Two more years of AOC.
This may explain how DeBlasio won....
I grew up in Queens. We voted on a mechanical tabulating machine, there was no paper ballot. The voter set small levers to select candidates inside a booth with a curtain. The curtain was operated by a large lever. Opening the curtain tabulated the votes and reset the selection levers. The tabulators were locked by keys outside the voting period, there was a police officer in each polling place who witnessed the whole procedure. Poll watchers would verify the counts. The machine remained locked until the results were certified.
There were people who checked each voter in, so that a count of votes cast could be compared to totals.
It was pretty damned foolproof and tamperproof, and results could be tabulated and reported very quickly.

Vintage NYC voting booth.
that is actually what we need ... no electronics, no paper ...
Very difficult to cheat, easy to use. Provision could be made for handicapped voters, for instance allow them to use mail-in ballots. GI’s (back in the day) used mail-in ballots already.
I think the problem with them is they make it so hard to cheat.
We would never have had the current mess under the old system. It’s the 21st Century and it takes longer to count ballots than in the 19th? This is a disgrace, and the reason is corruption.
Trump won. They don’t know what to do to fix it.
Either won, or shockingly close to winning NY.
NY was one of the earliest states the media called for Biden on election night.
