I didn’t know either - but on a Mac the combination “control” “command” and “space” brings up an emoji pallet. You then click on the desired emoticon and - Bob’s your uncle - the emoticon appears where your cursor was. 😊😇 And will come out in your preview the same way.

Turns out it is the bottom option under the “Edit” menu of Safari. Your mileage may vary.

The Constitution is not just words penned on old parchment. It's a set of laws and principles that live in the hearts and minds of its Free Citizens.

In a sense, Free Republic continues those smoky backroom discussions in Philadelphia as the Constitution was being crafted. At times, furious arguments among the Founders had to be quelled and settled to move our Sacred, God-given Document forward.

And so the question before us today is the very survival of our American Republic. "You have a Republic, if you can keep it!" (Uncle Ben).

I agree. However, it's like, ya know, like totally racist and stuff to say "Uncle Ben" because the crazy Democrat Party Cabal insanely and sadly "cancelled" Uncle Ben. You'd think it'd be considered an honor to have one's picture on such a hugely popular food product but what do I know. Cancelled!

I'm still sticking with my call a week ago that given President Trump's legal challenges (in state and district courts, possibly reaching the SCOTUS), the swing-states' Republican legislatures potentially picking elector slates, and all of this possibly ending up in Congress that would decide the Presidential election winner, there's a 25% chance President Trump gets another four years. Fingers crossed! After everything I've seen during the past week, I see no reason to change my (WAG) prediction but I'll update my prediction as major developments ensue.

Thanks for responding. I have a notebook with WIN10 64bit. I hit the ctrl + fn + space bar (no relation to Star Wars ☺ ), and a little pad came up for handwriting. I drew a smiley on the pad and hit the smiley that appeared on the right side of the pad, and it appeared on this post where the cursor was.

No color, though. 

When browsing a thread, if I click on the “to 20” button below a reply to reply #20, I go right to reply #20 as you intend. However

If I am in “My Comments," and I click on the reply number of a comment in a thread, I do not always go to Reply #20 (if 20 was the displayed - and correct - Reply #)

My browser is Safari . . .
