U.S. Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Edward Markey are calling on President Trump to withdraw his nomination for a new federal appeals court judge in Massachusetts, saying it was made during a “lame-duck session” after the presidential race was called in favor of his rival.
“Confirming the nominee during this lame-duck session would require Republicans to yet again violate longstanding Senate norms and rules,” the senators said in a statement Tuesday. “The White House should not be using its final days to try to rush through the nomination of a judge who will have a lifetime appointment to a court with jurisdiction over Massachusetts.”
Trump last Friday nominated Raúl M. Arias-Marxuach to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, which oversees Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Puerto Rico. Arias-Marxuach, who was appointed in 2019 as a U.S. District Court judge in Puerto Rico, has local ties — he received his undergraduate degree from Boston College before earning his J.D. from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law and a master of laws degree from Harvard Law School.

I would love for the Republicans to violate as many rules to support Trump as the Democrats did to oppose Trump.

These idiots don’t seem to grasp that Trump is still the President. He can nominate, hire and fire.
If he is truly defeated, he should clean house of as many deep Staters in Gov’t. as he possibly can; replacing them with Conservatives. ....Let Biden deal with a hostile Gov’t. like DJT has had to do during his term!
