Health officials in Washington state are asking more than 300 people to quarantine after attending a wedding earlier this month.
More than a dozen attendees contracted COVID-19 at the giant ceremony held in a private location near the town of Ritzville, Washington, on Nov. 7, the Grant County Health District said Monday.
A total of 17 people have tested positive after attending the superspreader event, the health district said, with more positive cases being added daily. Wedding guests who tested positive have been linked to two additional outbreaks.

And will media outlets be as vigilant, loud and detailed when 100% of the ‘positive tests’ survive and thrive?

The current tests were designed to have a 90% false positive rate. They are so unpredictable that you would have a better chance of predicting who has Covid with a coin toss. So the actual number of people who attended this event and currently have Covid is most likely around 2. Those two are likely to live together and one of them probably caught it picking his nose after pushing around a shopping cart that had a sick person's snot on it.
not far from Ritzville Wa are indian casinos opened in early July, the largest one not requiring any mask at all and others requiring masks when you're not drinking, eating or smoking....
THAT is the superspreader...
How very inconsiderate of them not to have rioting and looting after the wedding. That would have protected them from getting COVID.
Some people just cannot take into account the needs of their fellow man!

Put me down as being very, very skeptical about so called super-spreader events. One reason for this is because we have no way of knowing how many actually were exposed to the virus previously but only found out because they were only tested after the wedding. Another reason is that I have my doubt about contact tracing in such situations. The person taking the information probably learns a person was at a large event and simply assumes that is the source of the virus.
The population of Ritzville is <1,700.
And it’s out in the sticks.
So? This is the ONLY way we are going to get to herd immunity.
