Republican Burgess Owens proved victorious over his challenger, Democrat Rep. Ben McAdams, in Utah’s Fourth Congressional District for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.
As of Friday night, with 99 percent of precincts reporting, the Salt Lake Tribune considered Owens’ 2,095-vote lead over McAdams to be “insurmountable.” The Tribune also noted that Owens had 47.50 percent of the vote on Friday compared to McAdams’ 46.93 percent.
“If Owens’ lead holds as those and any remaining ballots in Utah County are counted ahead of the final canvass next week, he will be one of two new members in Utah’s six-member congressional delegation,” the Tribune stated.

With each seat gained in the House by the GOP, Nancy Pelosi, if she remains as Speaker, will have a miserable political life. Her caucus should broom her out the door in January. She did nothing for the Democrat Party but, destroy it!!!

The GOP had net gains in the House and Senate yet we’re supposed to believe that Republicans voted for Biden.

shes toast...there are 8 - 10 conservative democrats in republican districts that voted against her for speaker in 2018...they barely won this time and they will now be basically running things....they were ignored or threatened, but they have the power now. The are laying low until all the races are complete..but come January, every body will know who they are...if i was Kevin McCarthy, id offer them plum assignments..get them to change parties, because come 2022, the dems are gonna get wiped out...either way, Pelosis career is ova...

First, this is one of the more conservative counties in the state, so Owens final lead will only increase.
Second, the handful of Democrats who do not like Nazi Pelosi do not even have to switch parties. All they need to do is decide on who is going to be the new Speaker of the House and negotiate with Republicans to vote for them in exchange for some plum committee assignments.

With the Kim (CA) and this UT race called for the Republicans (and flipped from Democrats) I am counting a net of +10 with five races remaining uncalled.
