Ann Coulter: What America Wants Is ‘Trumpism without Trump’
Breitbart ^ | 13 Nov 2020 | GABRIELLE REYES

“Trumpism without Trump” is what America needs in four years, said conservative author Ann Coulter during a lecture at the University of Texas at Austin on Thursday night hosted by the university’s Young Conservatives of Texas.

In a wide-ranging speech that reached far beyond the event’s proposed topic of immigration, the political commentator explained to a socially-distanced crowd of 97 people why she believes the 2020 U.S. presidential election has produced “the best of all possible outcomes” for conservatives.

“The reason I’m very happy that [President] Trump lost – and lost narrowly – is that a second term of Trump would have killed us,” Coulter said.

“What we want, and what I think we can get in four years, is Trumpism without Trump,” she said.

Coulter defined “Trumpism” as America taking care of its own people first.

“The left behind, the working class, the middle class — they want jobs, they want safe neighborhoods. They don’t want to have to keep paying taxes for English as a Second Language classes and to pay for emergency rooms with a lot of illegal immigrants coming in with many … health problems,” she said.

“We have to take care of our own first. That’s Trumpism. And it hasn’t been tried. It certainly hasn’t triumphed,” Coulter opined.

“[W]ith Trump … He’d say these wild things that we’d get blamed for, he’d get attacked on, and then actually did nothing,” she explained.

“Trump thinks, ‘I tweeted it. Therefore, it’s done’,” Coulter said.

“It’s ironic … that he lost this election, very possibly because of cheating. Democrats cheat all the time. … Trump has been talking about ‘mail-in ballots are dangerous, they’re gonna steal this election.’ He’s been talking about it … probably all year,” she said.

“Talking about it isn’t the same as doing it,”

I don’t think she is too wrong. We do want Trumpism. Americans need the America First agenda. President Trump is a fighter and we need that too in any 2024 GOP candidate.

But he also didn’t moderate himself until the last debate. He’s been his best advocate and worst enemy with the tweets and things throughout this term.

I sickens me but I have concluded too many voters expect the same policies, good economics and peace abroad out of Joe that Trump brought. That ain’t happening. Biden will have learned nothing and go back to politics as usual, international relationships as usual. That’s why we must defend the Senate to reign in the radical agenda.

Trump transformed the landscape in a powerful and positive way. America First over identity politics. We have to fight on areas of education, censorship. It’s up to us and those we elected to fight for Trumpism and America First values at home and abroad.

There’s no doubt in my mind if it wasn’t for Trump being Trump, covid would’ve totally crippled America. He deserved a second term for his policies and record unlike Ford, Carter, Bush 41. But the Democrats and never Trumpers made this about him personally and not about policy. They amplified the anxiety and that’s unfortunate. That’s why Joe ran a stealth campaign and ran those character of America ads that Trump campaign did not answer.

72 million of us recognized the work done, the agenda and appreciated what he did in the first term.

The steal is not going through.

If Trump doesn’t make it this round, people are going to find out that you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone.

“The reason I’m very happy that [President] Trump lost – and lost narrowly – is that a second term of Trump would have killed us,” Coulter said.”

Moronic statement. You don’t win anything by losing. If Trump loses it will be nearly impossible for a GOP presidential candidate to win in 2024 or beyond whether they be moderates or conservatives.

“ Dream on, Ann. Rember all those rallies with thousands of Americans chanting their love for Trump? Nothing has changed.”

Pray tomorrow’s rally goes very well.

The media will ot have to cover it. The state legislators and the Supreme Court will see it.

The Ann Coulter will find out about its success.

She has always been a bitter, needy person. There’s not enough attention in the world to make her happy!

I don’t think she means it would’ve killed us as much as it might’ve harmed the agenda and caused paralysis because the campaign of fear, uncertainty and doubt would’ve gotten only mode extreme. The agenda of Trumpism is more important than the single man. And if Biden is sworn in we must continue to fight for America First principles just as we would in 2024 regardless.

Possibly Cruz. I think he’s smartened up and understands the lessons of Trump. Time will tell. He’s much better with the beard

There is no Trumpism without Trump.

Well, then I guess we're f**ked because he's likely lost his bid for re-election and he'll be 78 years old when he has another chance in 2024.

I happen to agree with Ann here, and I know people aren't going to like it but she's right. What this country needs is Trump, but a younger, more focused and disciplined version. And we should really work on finding this person.

I think Ron DeSantis is that guy. Now, he will face a tough challenge in 2022 for re-election, and the Democrats are going to throw everything at him. But, if he prevails, I think he'll be ready. And Trump most likely will endorse him. I was really impressed with him at the Florida MAGA rallies. I just don't see Pence getting people that excited.

I have come to the conclusion that your type of person will not be able to take on the Deep State. It took a wild man to do it.

He was successful in showing us that it’s just not a crazy conspiracy theory.

He really didnt stand a chance.

The idea of Brennan and his power just makes me sick

I have heard others refer to voters who like Trump’s policies but don’t like Trump and wouldn’t vote for him. That’s a foolish and shortsighted attitude. There’s not going to be any Trumpism with the Obama crowd returning to power. Who among the usual GOP geldings is going to pick up the mantle? At this point, I can’t agree that there is Trumpism without Trump.

Scuttlebutt is CNN/Deep State bought out Drudge for $50M.

I am now guessing that he got his pal Annie bought, for significantly less, as well.

How close were the dates that they both turned?
