Network TV shows including This Is Us, Law & Order: SVU, and Chicago PD have kicked off their new seasons with social justice-themed storylines that tout systemic racism and portray law enforcement in a negative light. Writers rooms around Hollywood are working hard to keep race top of mind after left-wing activists put pressure on the networks to change the way they portray black people and the police.
Hollywood took a knee and the results are now on full display. In the season 5 premiere of NBCs This Is Us, the Black Lives Matter movement provokes an emotional epiphany in Randall Pearson (Sterling K. Brown), inspiring him to cut ties with his white therapist and to confront his white family members about their silence on race.

Law and Order: Special Social Workers Eunuchs
( so trendy )
This is Us was extremely annoying to me.
They definitely pushed the mask, corona lock down B.S. and the George Floyd. Thankfully, I fell asleep relatively quickly while watching.
Too bad. I enjoyed the show for a few seasons, now I’ll probably stop watching.
I only turn them on for ENTERTAINMENT. Piss me off and get political and I have no use for it.
Why I only watch KDramas now.
Noticed that on the medical “advice” show “The Doctors”, the panel of MD’s that had been there for years all of a sudden morphed into 1 young black doctor only.
No Kidding..
Chicago PD, Chicago Fire , Chicago Med all had ‘Woke’ themes.
SWAT was so bad we cut it short and cancelled the series. Geo Floyd riots, reliving the Rodney King riots, mentioned Watts. Explaining to the grandson nothing has changed. Cops bad.
The few Network shows we watch and BLAH....
“Randall Pearson (Sterling K. Brown), inspiring him to cut ties with his white therapist and to confront his white family members about their silence on race.”
His white family adopted him, after he was abandoned.
SVU was disgusting. CPD wasn’t far behind. Thanks Dick Wolf - not.
“Why I only watch KDramas now.”
What are KDramas?
Korean shows.
Don’t watch it. I don’t.
His Seoul form of entertainment
Well played, sir.
“His Seoul form of entertainment”
Very good. I can say we watch a lot of BDramas.
I’ll stick with the classic SWAT.
Cheesy, dated but better.
I preferred the Cheech and Chong version (Tactical Women's Alert Team)
Same here. We are exclusively watching YouTube. (Will break from the pattern to watch Nancy Zieman special)
I honestly can’t remember the last time I watched a network show. News, sports, and streaming is it.
