Arizona's GOP AG says people voted Republican, but not for Trump

Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich (R) defended the state’s election process on Wednesday against accusations of voter fraud and irregularities from the Trump campaign.

Appearing on Fox News, Brnovich was asked by host Neil Cavuto about recent disputes over voting currently being argued in Arizona, including one in which a Trump campaign attorney claimed to have evidence that votes in Maricopa County had been “incorrectly rejected” and requested that the evidence be sealed.

Election official attorneys successfully argued to leave the evidence unsealed because the public “has a right to know how flimsy Plaintiffs’ evidence actually is,” according to the Arizona Republic.

Brnovich dismissed the lawsuit as inconsequential saying, "We are literally talking about less than 200 votes that are in question and doubt. So the reality is, even if it was possible that those votes flipped, those 200 votes, I do not think it will make a difference in Arizona just because of the numbers."

“On election night, if you looked at the numbers - and a lot of people that are really good at politics and polling here had said that it was possible for the president to come back,” said Brnovich. He stated that the reality of the election is that Trump’s chances of making a comeback in the votes was “highly unlikely” given the amount of ballots left and the percentage he would need in order to make any gains.

According to Brnovich, there are less than 50,000 votes left to be counted and the president would need to get 65 percent of those to win Arizona.

Arizona’s GOP AG says people voted Republican, but not for Trump

I have just added up all the Republican votes for all House contests.

They add up to fewer than the President has gotten so far. 10s of thousands fewer.

No one would vote Republican down ticket and NOT for Republican for President.

That happened a lot in 2016. Don't know about this time.

Don’t insult us, please. Many of us voted for Brnovich, in good faith. The GOPe are failing we Conservatives in AZ. It will be a empty quest the next time they ask for us for our votes and we politely decline.

This guy is a retarded turd. 73,000,000 million votes nationwide? Somebody in Arizona had to vote for Trump. I knew this was going to happen once those idiots legalized happy smoke. There is nothing wackier than Commies high on Marijuana.

Arizona went the way of Colorado awful fast.

All it takes is getting legalizing pot on the ballot.

I don’t believe it.

People vote for RINOs because they’re the closest thing to conservative that they can get. Anyone who feels that way would crawl over broken glass to vote for Trump.

The Arizona mindset is a tough nut to crack.

You would think they are all for limited government (Heck Goldwater ftw) but end up voting like hippies peaking off some LSD (And these are just the McCain brigade, never mind the gibsmethat class and the sensitive/Oprah brainwashed suburban females).

I have had quite a few Dims suggest this to me, that Republicans hate Trump so they voted for Biden, and then down ticket for Republicans which is why Biden had no coattails, and not that there were many millions of likely fraudulent ballots marked only for Biden/Harris. They tell me that the GOP base just hates Trump.

Three things you need to tell them, first of all, Trump received approximately 70 million votes, and there are approximately 55 million registered Republicans in the country so not only did the president receive basically all of the GOP votes, but a great number of Independent and Democrat votes.

Secondly, if you look at the number of votes Trump received in any given state, you will see that the numbers of votes down ticket are roughly the same.

Third, usually the Republican voter who loathes a GOP candidate it is because there is so little difference between the GOP and the Democrat candidates, and in the end will decide the GOP is slightly less objectionable. In those cases when the GOP candidate is so reprehensible, the voter can’t bring himself to vote for that candidate, he will cast a protest vote for the libertarian candidate if there is no Constitution Party or other conservative party candidate.

Ordinary grass roots Republicans do not vote for Democrats even if Jeb Bush, et al, do.

I close with telling my dim friend, that republicans are not like democrats at all, we think very differently than they do.

Yes, the theory that the GOP would skip Trump, vote for Biden or leave it blank, and then down ticket for GOP. . . STRAINS CREDULITY.

This is my mantra about Election 2020—the results “strain credulity” in every way.

The fun of voting is for President. The remaining down ticket stuff is more like. . .duty.

Most of the Arizona GOP DESPISES John McNasty. He had a 23 percent approval rating when the Grim Reaper came for him. He was a terrible, nasty, back-stabbing senator. Nobody misses him, NOBODY.

I'm not talking about rank and file Republicans, I'm talking about the GOP state party officers and office holders.

If you run for office and expect GOP AZ help, you had to be on the good side of John and now Cindy McCain.

I don’t believe that for a second. I think it is more likely people voted Trump than they voted republican. Nobody I talk to is really happy with republicans in general, but they were all enthusiastic Trump voters.

@realDonaldTrump has made it abundantly clear he's more interested in pandering to his neo-nazi base than being @POTUS for all Americans.
