Top evangelical Trump ally calls for Christians to accept Biden as president-elect

One of President Trump's top evangelical allies is calling on Christians to accept that Joe Biden is more than likely to take office as president in January.

Robert Jeffress, pastor of First Baptist Dallas, one of Texas's biggest megachurches, called Biden's apparent victory a "bitter pill to swallow" for Christians, but one that they must accept for the good of the country. At the same time, Jeffress on Wednesday said that he thinks a Biden administration will pose threats to religious liberty and anti-abortion interests, out-of-step with the former vice president's calls for "unity."

This is really an atrocious betrayal not matter how much he dresses it up. To use a Bible reference: At one point in King David's reign it seemed as though Absalom had the upper hand in his rebellion. At that time David's close companion Ahitophel deserted him. Who gives a flying f**k what any religious leader has to say about it? Turning the other cheek will not stop the criminal theft of a national election and will do nothing to endear yourself to the fascists/marxists. I long ago gave up on organized religion/denominations because of their long history of political meddling. My faith in God is separate from my faith in the Constitution which, by the way protects the former; at least for as long as we can keep it.

Republicans should be complaining about voter suppression. If someone casts an illegal vote it suppresses someone’s legal vote. My bet is a high percentage of illegal votes were for Biden, so they suppressed legal Republican votes.
