COLUMBUS (FOX19) - With coronavirus cases surging to an “alarming” new high above 6,000 a day, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine is scheduled to deliver a statewide address “to discuss the critical stage Ohio is at in battling COVID-19.”
DeWine canceled his usual Tuesday afternoon news conference for one at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday to discuss the pandemic’s “impact on Ohio moving forward," according to his office.
The latest figures released Tuesday show Ohio shattered its daily record with 6,508 new coronavirus cases. There also were 23 new deaths reported, DeWine announced.
So far overall, the state has documented at least 261,482 cases reported and 5,547 deaths, according to the Ohio Department of Health.

Hospitals being over run is seems to the be the new talking point I am hearing from a lot of governors.
He is totally inept. He goes on TV and gives a “Rah-Rah...Ohioans can do it!” speech, but lacks the stones to do anything of substance. He’s been a waste of oxygen during all of this.
Politicians like De-Whine need sent to GITMO for crimes against humanity. However, I’ll settle for dragging his skinny A@@ out onto statehouse lawn for a good old fashioned Tar and Feather party.

I just had it. Felt like a mild cold with some fatigue. No breathing issues or anything serious. Certainly wouldn’t change anything I did the last 8 months to avoid it.
We already close the bars at 10pm, limit capacity at events and have a mask policy in place. Kroger has started rationing toliet paper again and my freaked out family members have cancelled Thanksgiving and Christmas get togethers.
The fear is working.
I don’t think he can afford to do another lockdown. And I don’t trust the numbers. Outside of nursing homes i only know of two persons who had it symptomatically.. A couple others who “tested positive’ but were not sick at all. But I do note that the increase in “cases” coincides with a broadened definition of a “case.” Apparently they now are lumping flu in with the rona.
What precincts? I live in Ohio and haven’t heard a single word about the election results here.
I had heard a rumor, actually a speculation by an investigative reporter interviewed on an Ohio radio station, a speculation based supposedly on some confirmation by insiders, that Lt. Governor John Husted is fed up with DeWine and is thinking of resigning in protest and announcing a run for governor, although the election is not for another 2 years.
Husted is a Republican and has always seemed to me to look like he is being held hostage when he gives his reports on the economy during his part of DeWine’s twice-weekly press conferences that have been occurring for over half a year now.
Expect a future Lock down to get Biden in without Protests. Fear is a tool they will never give up. Trump Rally—”Superspreader” Biden riot “Peaceful Protests”. They must think the people are really stupid. Maybe we deserve Biden if he fail to act. Wait for the Taxes that will rob you blind. Maybe when starvation hits you will think of resisting. I was just surmising that if there are any “possible” re-votes/run-off elections in ANY precincts in Ohio (since its overall results are under close scrutiny and suspicion, along with others), then another shutdown would again conveniently enable more mail-in fraud. That’s all I was suggesting.
This is stupid. Cases <> deaths. The only measure that would make a difference is if hospitals have a lack of beds for that vanishingly small percentage of folk who actually have life-threatening symptoms.Since they didn’t mention it, we can all assume that this is not the case, because if it were, they’d be yelling about it at the top of their lungs.
This entire situation is just insane, and not much more than fodder for would-be tyrants, and nervous nellies hiding under their beds.
