I hate Fox News, but am grateful for Hannity team’s revelations about Clinton/DNC/DeepState/Russia/Coupgate.
I respect Laura Ingraham’s medical cabinet, and I enjoy quite a bit of Tucker. however, at a time when Hannity was recognising the politics of covid, Tucker had his own mission, and I will never forget what he did.

novel length, written by a guy who has known Tucker for decades - such praise should have alerted Tucker, not pleased him:

17 March: Vanity Fair: “Dishonesty...Is Always an Indicator of Weakness”: Tucker Carlson on How He Brought His Coronavirus Message to Mar-a-Lago
The Fox News host believes that an administration (and GOP, and Democrats, and media) obsessed with impeachment couldn’t help but see the coronavirus through a political lens. But COVID-19, he says, shouldn’t be political.
By Joe Hagan
Though it’s hard to believe, Fox News host Tucker Carlson made his very first visit to Mar-a-Lago only a week and a half ago. The resort was hosting a birthday party for former Fox host Kimberly Guilfoyle, also attended by Florida congressman Matt Gaetz, and Donald Trump Jr., — but Carlson wasn’t there for the party. He didn’t even know about it, he says. Instead he’d come with an urgent message for the president. He was there to pull Donald Trump aside and speak frankly about the dangers of the coronavirus epidemic, the gravity of which had not yet fully registered with Trump or his White House...

Tucker Carlson started talking more extensively about the virus on his Fox News show on February 3, spurred, he says, by harrowing reports emerging from China. Trump, it seems, was the last to know. A White House adviser arranged for Carlson to meet with Trump so the TV personality could, in essence, penetrate Trump’s bubble. They talked for two hours. The oncoming pandemic, Carlson told him, was an existential threat to the nation. To translate it into Trumpian language, an existential threat to his reelection…

Carlson won’t discuss the president’s reaction on the record, but suffice it to say that Trump’s denial went on for another week while the pandemic ballooned and right-wing allies — many of them on Fox News — suggested the virus was a liberal hoax...
https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2020/03/tucker-carlson-on-how-he-brought-coronavirus-message-to-mar-a-lago

and so the Deep State - despite Cuomo & other Dem Govs returning elderly covid patients to nursing homes to infect and die and, in Cuomo’s case, to become “God” - weaponised COVID, even calling it “Trump Virus”, destroyed the Trump economy and used it as a tool against Trump in the 2020 election.

Fox shows how poorly they are run.

Trash your most loyal viewers and do they expect the libs who have badmouthed them for years to suddenly jump on board?

Rupert, as bad as he was, at least recognized who had brung him to the dance and the formula that worked for ratings.

meant to add, this bit by the “writer” is his spin.

“while the pandemic ballooned and right-wing allies — many of them on Fox News — suggested the virus was a liberal hoax”

Hannity and a few others were suggesting the panDEMic was being politicized and exaggerated.

It is unrealistic to think that the ownership of Fox, extreme left wing liberals that they are, is going to let you replace their liberals with conservatives.

You are right. There are a lot of them popping up lately. I follow her actual account and didn’t notice that the post I saw was from a fake one.

Fox News??? Wasn’t there a really decent conservative news organization that I watched many, many, many, many decades ago, okay years, that was called Fox News. But, when it went liberal communist socialist homo, I quit watching. I now watch Newsmax TV. It is not as big. It doesn’t have all those fancy graphics or really big known talking heads, but at least the people are like us, conservatives, that talk from our side, not from the kiss ass liberal side of the MSM. So, yup, even tho many don’t like Newsmax, I have read their web site since it went up and now watch their news channel.

It probably depends on how much they want ratings. I refuse to watch the leftists but I also feel a loyalty to those on my side. I have a remote controller and I know how to use it. I’m on The Five now and next is Elizabeth McDonald. She is great!

If you’re watching Tucker or Judge Jeanine you’re giving ratings...

Which brings up the question of how ratings are established. How do they know? In the past, people who contributed to the Nielsen ratings had special set-top boxes that transmitted viewer choices back to the surveying company. They were paid for allowing that to happen.

Today, we have very capable set-top boxes that are surely capable of communicating channel information back to the cable company. My question is: Is that considered legal, and do they do it today?

“Hannity and a few others were suggesting the panDEMic was being politicized and exaggerated”

and they were right and Tucker was wrong.

judging from a few things Tucker said a couple of months ago, he eventually recognized he’d been duped, though he didn’t spell it out in plain terms.

David Folkenflik was described by Geraldo Rivera of Fox News as “a really weak-kneed, backstabbing, sweaty-palmed reporter.” Others have been kinder. The Columbia Journalism Review, for example, once gave him a “laurel” for reporting that immediately led the U.S. military to institute safety measures for journalists in Baghdad.
Based in New York City, Folkenflik serves as NPR’s media correspondent.
He and his coven at NPR should have been defunded long ago.
