Republicans Emerge from Election Controlling New Hampshire Governorship, House, and Senate

Republicans emerged from the November 3, 2020, elections with control of the New Hampshire Governorship, House, and Senate.

New Hampshire, with the state motto “Life Free or Die,” is home to renowned gun maker Sig Sauer.

The Center Square reports that Gov. Chris Sununu (R) won a third term “handily” on November 3, receiving “more than 65 percent of the vote.”

New Hampshire voters also “elected Republican majorities in the state House of Representatives, Senate, and Executive Council.”

The Dartmouth reported the victories by noting that they flipped state House and Senate control from Democrat to Republican. Democrats had “a 14-10 majority in the Senate, a 230-157 majority in the House, and a 3-2 majority on the Executive Council,” but that is now gone.

New Hampshire, Senate holds I hope, and plus Pelosi might have a 5 seat lead in the house but we lose the White House? Dems get their asses kicked all over. Insane all around.

That’s a lot of split tickets. What a crock.

Then why did NH go blue for POTUS?

More like Trump-hate than Dem-love it seems to be.

The individual mandate was struck down by an EO, so there’s not much left to Obama Care.

But I noticed that Trump’s numbers went up that bit (20000 more votes), yet Biden does way better than Hillary or even Obama? If it was Trump hate, that gain of votes for him seems a strange way of expressing that hate.

Now use it to clean up the election process.

More like Trump-hate than Dem-love it seems to be.

Do not discount the number of Never-Trumpers among the Northeast Republican rank and file.

They're more like Dem-Lite than Republican.

I’d love to know how many ballots only voted for Biden, and no one else.

We use to be. Maybe NH will get back to its roots of limited government.
But it always seems to be in the last few election cycles that we flip the House/Senate over for no apparent reason.

Our little NH town voted for Sununu (Incumbent Republican Governor), all other races got a Dem majority.
It disturbed me that we were given PENCILS to fill in the ballots with, so I used my own ballpoint pen.

Because many of the Southern NH women work in MA. They hate Trump.

It’s all pretty simple. Not sure why this is a shock. You don’t have to agree with it; but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

I noticed, as per my post, that Trump’s vote total increased by that modest amount compared to 2016. However, I do not dispute your idea of Dem-Lite, because still enough of them may have likely voted Biden. I suppose the days of New Hampshire being that very reliable Republican state (even in LBJ’s blitz of 1964) goes back to when they were that good bit more rural and old stock Yankee and not as influenced by the Boston liberal Democrat culture as it probably is now.

Southern NH was blue in1988, when I lived there. I cannot imagine it’s gotten “redder”, although it’s certainly more populated.

......but “voted” Biden. I am not saying it doesn’t happen but overall, the down ticket BS is grotesque and an apparent anomaly which I think is fraud.

“Then why did NH go blue for POTUS?”

That’s because they haven’t yet perfected how to cheat on the down ballot races as well as POTUS...like Illinois has.
