Veterans Day 2020 is on Wednesday, Nov. 11th, 2020. This Veterans Day discounts list will continue to be updated as we learn of more nationally available Veterans Day discounts, meals or other ways businesses and organizations want to give back to Veterans. These Veterans Day discounts, free meals and other programs are being shared so that Veterans, their families, caregivers, and survivors are aware of all resources available to them.
Due to COVID-19, some organizations are now offering discounts to Veterans all the time instead of their regular Veterans Day discounts. These adjustments help Veterans take advantage of the discounts offered while avoiding the usual Veterans Day crowds. A new section at the bottom of this story will list all the year-round Veterans discounts.

Thanks to all Veterans for your Service to America!
Thanks for posting this . . . I like food. I like it even better when it is free.
When I lived in Michigan I was near to a lot of the restaurants listed, but since moving behind the blue curtain in Illinois I only have a couple of them.
I believe it is a great blessing to receive the meal, and it is great that America is made to recognize the veteran.
However, in these tense days, I think that many vets should not be surprised that some of their meals will contain some of the liberal employees DNA on their meals.
Eww, thanks a lot!
Golden Corral wont be having their usual event this year...veterans can go and get a coupon/card for a free meal that can be used any time until May next year...just show your veteran ID and sign their list..
Applebee’s are not advertising this year but they will have their usual event...
O’Charleys also
Dennys has free Grand Slams starting at 5am
If you are anywhere near Woodstock Georgia you can get 50% off the great steaks at Prime 120. Just show your military IAd or VA card
IHOP for breakfast, Red Robin for lunch
In Texas, you get a Veteran notation on your Driver’s license
Get out and get your free meal, Sarge!
Veterans affairs data breach:
unauthorized users gained access to 50,000 vets financial information
I just want the early bird special at Scotty’s.
The closest thing to the office here in the Tampa area was a "Take 5 Oil Change" facility...the type where you sit in your truck while they take care of it, and that's what I was in the mood for...
Regardless, the 20's something manager noticed my USMC tags and stated I should have waited until Veteran's Day, because they give free oil changes to vets...I asked if he could just predate my bill, but no...got a 25% percent discount anyway for being a vet, so not a total loss! They were 90% done when he told me of this little "free" diddy.
Regardless, I tried confirming the free Vet Day deal on their website, but couldn't find anything other than the 25%. Just putting it out there in case...
Florida too...a little star in the upper right corner of the license with Veteran underneath...
I am in Texas. I have the ‘veteran’ endorsement on my driver’s license. I can go to Lowe’s or Home Depot year-round and show my drivers’ license for whatever I buy. At Home Depot the discount is 10%. At Lowe’s it is 25%, I think.
I have not been to any of the Vet’s Day free meal thingies because most of the restaurants are not up to par and probably serve their ‘not really leftovers’ but some of the cheaper things on the menu to vets.
I went to Golden Corral once but not as a vet. The ‘steak’ I ordered was like rubber.
Thats a good way to do it. We dont have any IDs here except of course for the retired vets. I know they were planning on wasting a bunch of money to come up with separate ID
cards. Plenty of places offer discounts but there is no way to prove it for most of us unless you walk around with a 214 in your pocket.
When my son and I go out for a Veterans Day meal, I take my DD214. He shows his 1st Marine Division tattoo.
Give him my thanks for his service...and YOU AS WELL!!!
My upper left arm has the eagle and a 2nd MarDiv Banner in is his talons. And before the star on my license, yes, I showed that baby...although I can't make the wings flap any longer, for, like, 20 years now, but...
Same in UT. Also, you can get your branch logo significant -sized on your plates.
That psychiatrist...
He’s like a Sven-jolly.
