Trump’s attorneys need to find enough illegal votes to change the outcome. 9,999 illegal votes isn’t enough if Biden’s margin is 10,000. They need to find enough to change the outcome.

That is a basic in election litigation to contest the results of an election. The challenger has to demonstrate that the errors or corruption were sufficient to impact the final result.

Not necessarily. I believe it’s actually more important for them to find evidence that steps were taken by election officials to ensure that illegal votes could NOT be identified.

This is the most likely scenario for Trump to win Pennsylvania, in fact.

That is NOT how it works. The burden of proof of election fraud isn’t based on if you can find more votes than the other candidate is stealing by. But whether there actually was organized actions carried out to throw the election to a particular candidate.

That is actually incorrect. In the case where an election was overturned in North Carolina in 2018 I don’t think there was any showing that the any amount of ballots were changed or illegal. The ruling to redo the election was the result of campaign operatives doing illegal ballot harvesting which alone was considered sufficient to taint the election results.
