Missouri attorney general backing GOP lawsuit challenging Pennsylvania mail-in ballots

Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt will sign a court brief with other Republican attorneys general arguing in favor of a GOP lawsuit challenging mail-in ballots before the U.S. Supreme Court, a spokesman said Sunday.

The lawsuit by the Pennsylvania Republican Party protests the state Supreme Court’s decision to allow mail-in ballots three additional days to arrive, arguing the extension violates federal law and the U.S. Constitution. The U.S. Supreme Court already turned away one GOP bid to quickly block the extension before the election, but the GOP has petitioned for a second review.

A spokesman for Schmitt’s office on Sunday confirmed the attorney general has joined the Republican Association of Attorneys General in filing an amicus brief, or legal argument that can be filed by someone who isn’t a party in the case, but has an interest in the outcome. Schmitt’s spokesman would not release more details.

The association, which is chaired by Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry, said in a statement that it would announce the brief in a press conference Monday including Schmitt and attorneys general from Oklahoma and Kentucky.

“The Republican AGs are already stepping up to the frontlines as ‘America’s insurance policy’ against the possibility of a Biden-Harris Administration and their liberal extremist agenda,” the Association wrote in a news release.

The lawsuit is among a flurry of legal actions in several battleground states filed by Republicans and President Donald Trump’s campaign to challenge a vote count — despite no evidence of widespread vote fraud — declaring Democrat Joe Biden the next president of the U.S. Many involve changes to normal procedures because of the coronavirus pandemic, which has killed more than 230,000 people in the U.S. and infected more than 9 million.

The Utah AG already joined the Trump legal team. All red state AGs need to file amicus for Trump in court.

Get hold of some of Dianne Feindtein’s voting machines, too. That is where the REAL fraud took place.

Get it to the Court and then have a 6-3 vote for Trump. We win even if Roberts goes wobbly.

This is the way to go.
Raise as many issues from as many directions as possible. The Nov 3 election is tainted and needs to be thrown out for about a gazillion reasons. We need the state legislatures to choose the next president.

This is, in my opinion, a solid approach for legal reasons.
But, additionally, this is a path that gives us the win (we control 26 states, they control 24). The Democrats would do whatever it takes to win. All they care about is winning by any means at all. We NEED to take that same attitude.

The GOP should quarantined those voting machines the second the polls closed. However you do that.

...challenge a vote count — despite no evidence of widespread vote fraud....

The Burden of proof does not fall to President Trump.

The poll watchers were denied the opportunity to view and confirm an accurate vote.

The burden of proof lies with sleepy Joe to prove no fraud transpired.

Sincere question; were voters disenfranchised in solid Trump states by the actions in PA and other states that changed voting rules without legislative action.

“...despite no evidence of widespread vote fraud...”

Sure, ya see if the fraud only appears in 3 States like PA, WI, and MI, why that represents just 6% of then States so what’s the big deal

Someone made the same observation on another thread I started. Note how they will in one way or another tacitly admit some or a little fraud, but deny “widespread” at this stage in time.

We win even if Roberts goes wobbly.

So what I wonder about is this. If 5-4 it will be 6-3 so Roberts can write the opinion himself or decide who writes it. But, suppose it is jiggered to be unacceptable to the 5. Then you get the majority opinion written by Roberts, with 5 justices concurring in the judgment but providing their own legal analysis. Which is the valid one. The Majority Opinion of 1 or the opinion of the majority of 5.

So maybe he writes the minority opinion and gets taken apart by the majority and shown to be the fraud that "it's a tax" Roberts is.

Choices choice choices. Isn't the world a fine place.

The founders did not like the idea of direct democracy, now we can see why.

?despite no evidence of widespread vote fraud.

The simultaneous cease counting action in multiple jurisdictions across the country and then the injection of Biden votes in the dark of the night while observers couldn't observe is evidence of widespread conspiracy to commit fraud.

This case does not involve the poll watchers nor a very large number of ballots.

I’m going to give you a crazy SCOTUS prediction.

By December 1, there will be so much evidence of fraud presented that Breyer will be on our side.
