I envy you. I bought his schtick hook, line, and sinker. There would have been no difference between him, Gore, and Kerry. It would have been the exact same killing off of the United States as we know it.
On the bright side, I learned a lot about being manipulated :-) ... so much so that I had to temper any enthusiasm for Trump at first ... I did not want to be fooled again.

I was moving between states in 2008 and couldn't register in time to vote for McCain. I don't recall it bothering me too much.
I was out of the country on an emergency trip in 2012 and missed voting for Romney. I don't recall that bothering me too much, either.
But I made a big effort to vote for Donald Trump, twice.
2024? Cruz/Noem would probably motivate me to make an effort. Serve up Haley/Rubio and I'll have to schedule another foreign trip. :)
