The biggest missed opportunity in Trump's term of office was the failure to enact a major infrastructure program. It would have been hard for Democrats to oppose, and would have consolidated his public persona as a successful "builder" and businessman.

In his 2016 campaign, Trump called for $1 trillion in infrastructure spending - airports, roads, communications - to modernize America and create jobs especially in the Rust Belt - Wisc, Penn, and Mich.

Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell blocked him.

I wonder why then his vote total did not crater in those states? And it took what seems to be a very suspicious (we all here know it was cheating) increase on Biden’s vote totals to beat Trump there.

Most everything was going along smoothly, outside of the impeachment nonsense, and then COVID-19 was foisted on the planet, thanks to China and the idiot medical researchers.

Totally disagree.

This would have been something DemoKKKrats easily could have claimed credit for.

If Trump had one failure in his term, it was to bring in sufficient MAGA people in DOJ to attack the Deep State.

Sessions was an absolute disaster, and Barrstool, except for rescuing children-—which has been a gigantic success-—has been a total failure.

If he gets re-elected, I hope his second term delivers what he promised - on infrastructure - for his first term. No more getting led around by McConnell and Paul Ryan.

Yes, ya don’t think he tried? The guy is a builder for God’s sake and has spoken in high regard of UAE’s building.

Another armchair do-nothing “expert” flapping his gums - Trump should have done this. Trump should have done that..

When should he have done that? In the first two years when Ryan and Mitch held impeachment over his head? When they had Mueller paralyzing things? When they did the actual impeachment? During Corona?

Idiots.

“ This would have been something DemoKKKrats easily could have claimed credit for.”

So you disagreed with Trump during his 2016 campaign? He made his infrastructure promise in every speech - and he highlighted it up front. I remember, I watched dozens of his speeches

Yeah, too bad the House was busy with Russia collusion and impeachment for 3 years.

Democrats were not going to allow Trump any wins, even if they agreed with it.

It would have been good for the democrats if Biden didn’t lose this election.

It would have been good for the criminals if they didn’t commit election fraud and treason.

Worse than what you said. The money would have been funneled through federal programs and agencies, with all the corruption and kickbacks that entails.

“ Democrats were not going to allow Trump any wins, even if they agreed with it.”

Mitch and Ryan weren’t going to allow any wins on the MAGA agenda either. Infrastructure was at or near the top of Trumps 2016 MAGA agenda. It’s one of the reasons Mitch and Ryan didn’t support his candidacy

All you’re doing is saying Trump was wrong in calling for a $1 trillion infrastructure plan. You’re not denying he promised it - that can’t be denied, it’s in all his 2016 speeches, still found on YouTube. You’re just saying that Mitch and Ryan were right to oppose him and block it

Yeah, and many other Republicans as well. Democrats would not have played along wither. They would not tolerate providing any positives for {resident Trump to speak about.

No, I’m rejecting the notion that this plan would have changed the election in any way.

What WOULD have changed the election is a real, aggressive AG or FBI director who would have started going after criminals in 2017.

Dismantling the DS should have been job number one. Dismantling the Democrat Social Media Complex should have been high on the list, also.
