The Cure for America's Moral Decline Is Four More Years of Trump
AmericanThinker.com ^ | November 7, 2020 | E. Jeffrey Ludwig

The signs of theft and fraud in the presidential election are everywhere, but the Republicans are unwisely starting to cave. On Fox's The Five, the panel — including the intensely pro-Trump Jesse Watters — were, as of November 6, already summing up President Donald Trump's achievements, which they deemed considerable, and are moving on. A pro-Trump friend of mine insisted to this writer that Trump is only a passing figure in a national and populist surge that began well before Trump and will continue and grow after Trump. He wrote that Alex Jones has been growing that Trump base for years. I replied with disgust that after these four years, I cannot accept going back to being a supine couch potato watching Infowars.com and feeling satisfied with "progress." Any attitudes accepting defeat must be deferred until all avenues of protests and appeals have been exhausted. This is no time for our loyalties to flag.

This election aftermath to me is clearly the third attempt to pull the presidency away from Trump by unethical and grossly illegitimate — i.e., criminal — means — the first two being the attempt to turn a telephone conversation that had seven people listening to it plus duty officers, policy staff, and translators and others (not a secretive conversation) into an impeachable offense and, second, the attempt to portray our president as a Russian agent using $48 million of taxpayer money to "prove" the false premises of the investigation. So the present manipulation of state election vote counts — all of which questionable counting practices are under the direct supervision of Democrats (corrupt, soulless scoundrels) — is the third machination designed to disrupt the presidency and put it (even more than it already is) in the hands of vile subversives of America.

Yes, it is.

We must fight this steal with everything short of violence up until, at minimum, Supreme Court decisions.

If we do not fight, we risk a real chance of losing the Republic forever.

It has become clear, in the states with Republican legislatures, but Democrat governors and secretary of states, it was very likely the governor and secretary of state races were stolen in 2018.

For the second term, can we have a serious purge of Deep State criminals? Starting with those behind the Russia collusion investigation and the failed impeachment that followed?

Exactly. Same method, all part of thier plan. It is not just voter fraud. It’s a criminal conspiracy.

Wrong. Moral define comes when a populace rejects Godly standards and looks to Hollywood, the campus, and government for it’s well being. If Trump’s opponents are determined to drive off a cliff, the most he can do is to be a speed bump along the way.

Quite obvious examples of America's decadence, i.e. moral decline, can be seen by comparing movies made in the 1930s and 1940s to those made in the 21st century. There are other obvious examples also, e.g. the drug and feces littered streets of San Francisco, America's inability to prevent illegal immigration, et al.

However more profound examples are the corruption of government and its agencies and the news media, where truth is held in contempt, crimes covered up, integrity not even a consideration.

President Trump was so convinced that the decadence could be reversed, that America had not yet passed the point of no return, that he risked everything--a considerable amount in his case--to save his beloved USA from destruction.

Was he mistaken? Time will tell.

Was he mistaken?

I think he underestimated his opposition's numbers and the depths to which they would be willing to go to save their scams. Early on, he seemed to working under the belief that DC worked like a corporation - and the names who had been around longest were naturally the best and most experienced. He was bitten badly by this, and by reliance on "loyalists" like Sessions and Christie.

If he doesn't have a secret weapon in his pocket and cannot reverse the fake vote counts, ultimately I blame the GOP for his failure. At almost every moment when courage was needed, they have cut and run from Trump.

If Trump loses,God forbid,he should be the President in absentia. The war needs to start sometime. May as well be now.

If moral decline is a problem, democrats wouldn’t control the cities that are the source.

Moral decline and decadence represent freedom from the Christian oppression. An absence of morals is the goal. All behavior condoned by the state that eliminates the Christian Victorian remnants is good.

Tens of thousand of years of the civilizing properties are to be abandoned to achieve Utopian freedom.

Only war will get rid of the Progressive American enemies.

...and the swamp fights back and takes on a banana republic, the same one it created. Donald is right.

I stand between you and them.

Drain the swamp!

I think you're right that President Trump underestimated those corrupted--or perhaps over-estimated them--which is to say that he underestimated the magnitude and depth of the corruption. In other words, America had fallen deeper into decadence than he realised.

When he looked inside himself, at his wife and children, he could not imagine that the integrity, honesty, and ascendancy that he saw was not typical of the vast majority of Americans.

He may well have been mistaken: America may already have passed the point of no return.
