You Voted, Now What? Civic Engagement After the Election (Hamilton County, OH, PUBLIC library sneakily engages in Democratic activism!!!)

Civic engagement doesn’t begin and end at the ballot box. While voting is a critical part of making your voice heard, the work isn’t over after the first Tuesday in November. Whether that involves engaging in activism, advocacy, education, or something else, Antoinette Asimus from the Ohio Voter Rights Coalition provided a list of suggestions for keeping civically engaged after the election.

- All On The Line is the grassroots advocacy campaign supported by the National Redistricting Action Fund to end gerrymandering.

Observe, give testimony, and advocate at the Statehouse when it reconvenes in November for legislation on issues such as:

- Non-partisan redistricting reform to end gerrymandering. This is coming up in 2021 and 2022.

- Change legislation curtailing ballot initiatives which are the way citizens have a direct voice in democracy

Listen to what’s going on nationally and how it can impact people locally. Some of these issues are already in the news and are likely to receive more attention after the Nov. 3 election.

- Stop the gridlock in the Senate – the big issue here is the filibuster. Learn about how it benefits, and how it disadvantages, democracy.

- Remain in compliance with the Constitution to make the Senate and the House more representative of the U.S. population

- Reform the media. Support local media and advocate for oversight and regulations of monopolies and conglomerates.

Advocacy on a local level can also come in the form of joining your neighborhood community council, tuning into City Council meetings and participating in public comment, and getting involved with local organizations that advocate around issues that are important to you.

This is just evil!

Apparently straight from the DNC to public library patrons, the Hamilton County (Cincinnati) Public Library has this "non-partisan" activism guide on the front page of its web site today, and actually it's all about targeting battleground states for Democrats, pushing pro-abortion female politicians, and smearing Republicans as fascists -- disguised as "non-partisan" advice on how to get civically engaged.

Among other things, the guide points readers to "All on the Line," which opposes gerrymandering and which has helpfully identified some especially troublesome states they want to target for "reform" in coming years. Namely:

Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Wisconsin.

"All on the Line" is a Democratic operation, a project with close ties to Eric Holder and Barack Obama:

"The NRAF’s targeted litigation and national census efforts are coordinated with its two “sister” affiliates: the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, a Democratic Party PAC chaired by Eric Holder, and the National Redistricting Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The organizations share the same Washington, D.C. office space. [2]

"In August 2019, former president Barack Obama announced Redistricting U, an educational program by NRAF’s project All On the Line that aims to provide liberal volunteers throughout the country with the tools needed to affect the redistricting process in their state. [3] [4] [5]"

The guide also recommends "The Matriots," which is said to be a bipartisan group of female political candidates. Their tie, though, is that they participated in the 2017 Women's March and must be pro-abortion.

And rather than helping you find a book on a topic of interest, which was what libraries used to do, this library recommends that you advocate for no less than changing the form of the Supreme Court:

"Modernize the Supreme Court, again in compliance with the Constitution"

A list of book recommendations at the conclusion is fearmongering on Donald Trump and the supposed fascist American right -- blatant electioneering and all funded by taxpayer dollars!

Father, WE ask You to send special angels to protect (Exodus 8:22, 23), hide and put a hedge around (Job 1:10; Hosea 2:6) all your children who are in law enforcement and the armed forces; and all people and laws that would be sought out to be sacrificed or to be cursed, and all who are sounding the alarm and calling out and exposing evil.
