Republicans had a better night than expected holding on to some of their House seats. At least two incumbent Democrats were ousted by GOP challengers, and more could come as many races are yet to be called.
On the Democratic side, all four congresswomen of "the Squad" Reps. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan and Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts won reelection. Since taking office in January 2019, the lawmakers, all women of color, have electrified the progressive base thanks to their social media savvy but have also attracted controversy, most notably over their criticism of the US relationship with Israel.
Based on the races called so far, here's what the balance of power look like in the House right now:
Democrats have 181 seats. Republicans have 171 seats.

Right, because the cars with the extra votes in the trunks haven’t gotten in the back door of enough recorders offices yet.
But the longer the “counting” goes on, the more D’s will “win”.
Minnesota was a big loss.
Before PA fraudulent mail in ballots are counted Parnell (R) beats Lamb bigly.
Any chance of taking ack those California seats that the Democrats stole in 20018?
One or two maybe..................
Don’t be packAged by this they are trying to get us to be happy about second place. They stole the Presidency last night. Trump has worked for all of us we MUST fight now. This is not about being comfortable with the crumbs they are handing out.
this is further proof of fraud in the Presidential race...
1- GOP was suppose to lose the Senate, they didn’t
2- GOP was suppose to lose more seats in the House- they didn’t
3- GOP won state races in places no one thought they could’ve, like Rhode Island...
Yet somehow the GOP President lost???!!!
Don’t be placated by this they are trying to get us to be happy about second place. They stole the Presidency last night. Trump has worked for all of us we MUST fight now. This is not about being comfortable with the crumbs they are handing out.
This is good; makes me happy under these circumstances. They need to take control of the dim party entirely.
If these terrorists are elevated conservatives lose nothing. It might even be enough to wake up some really dumb Republicans that say they went to college.
In politics, there is no ‘second place’.... only first place...................
We are all suckers if there is not blood shed over the theft of our birthright to have our vote nullified.
The democrats will all vote in unison on everything.
So the only benefit to having more republicans would have been to protect against a veto. With a democrat president then it makes no difference because the house won’t try to veto the president. So this means nothing.
What? From even last night the number was bigger than that.
Hating Jooze is such a progressive position, isn't it?
In politics, there is no second place”\
Yep, especially when 2nd place is the GOP congress. These people will surrender without a shot and we will be driving golf carts and rationing electricity with a year.
We will also have 20 million illegals given amnesty and say goodbye to your health care plans. In short we lost the Republic last night.
Agree!! Great points.

Mn hasn’t voted republican since Nixons 2nd term. No way was Trump winning MN,Dems just acted scared to get Trump to waste money.
I have heard that in the UK with their ‘parliamentary’ type of government, whatever members are in the minority don’t even bother to show up unless it’s an ‘official’ requirement to do so. They just get paid and stay home......
I love how the fraudsters are all telling us we won today. But Fox sure made a dilly of an early call about the house races.
