Oregon has become the first state in the U.S. to decriminalize personal possession of all drugs, while Washington D.C. allows for consumption of magic mushrooms and New Jersey and Arizona legalize marijuana for recreational use.
The move to decriminalize hard drugs including heroin and methamphetamine in Oregon - as well as legalizing the use of psilocybin mushrooms - passed by two large margins on Tuesday.
Known as Measure 110, it will completely change how Oregon's justice system treats those who are found with personal-use amounts of the hard drugs.

The death toll from MVAs involving drug addled drivers will soon kill more young people in those states than WuFlu.

Way to go, you libertarian mongrels. You’re sowing the wind. Pity. It used to be such a beautiful state.

On a positive note, that should take care of the homeless problem here in Commiefornia.
Until we do the same thing.

Wow. What idiots. Last time I was there, the potheads were lying all over the place, just doing nothing.
In six months, they’ll have Monty Pythonesque daily body pickups and wonder why.

Oregon should be prohibited from receiving any federal funding aimed at treating drug addictions and all such similar federal money. Oregon will turn into a junkie hell hole.

Why legalize possession but not take the opportunity to tax the sale? I guess that’s why they are called dopes.

Yep. Same thing happened in Wisconsin. That’s why Walker lost by a small margin, because pot was on the ballot in a few counties.

“Flagstaff resident Chris Nylen, 50, said her support for the measure evolved as she saw her dog's arthritis and anxiety ease because of CBD pills prescribed by a veterinarian.”
This is the reason we are not going to have a workable country much longer: the need to ease dog anxiety.

If I lived in Eugene or Portland, I’d sell and get out. Bend is nice if you MUST stay in Oregon.

Well, there's a small problem here...the possesion of even minute quantities of certain drugs (pot, heroin, cocaine, speed, etc) is a Federal offense in every swuare inch of this country. A guy who lives in out complex just complete a 2 1/2 year stretch in FEDERAL prison for heroin.
What Oregon has done is make a need for more DEA agents in the state.
