South Carolina state Rep. Nancy Mace (R) is projected to unseat Rep. Joe Cunningham (D-S.C.) in the states 1st Congressional District.
The Associated Press called the race at 2:04 a.m. EST.
Maces victory returns the district to GOP control after Cunningham became the first Democrat since 1981 to win it in 2018. Numerous national Republicans endorsed her bid, including President Trump, second lady Karen Pence and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, who also served as U.N. ambassador under Trump.
Mace, who was elected to the state legislature in a 2018 special election, was the first woman to graduate from The Citadels Corps of Cadets.
Before her election, Mace worked as Trumps 2016 campaigns South Carolina field director and coalitions director. She also mounted an unsuccessful primary challenge to Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) in 2014, winning 6.2 percent of the vote
Congrats. I hope to follow her career with interest
Isnt it odd that Trump loses but so many down ballot Republicans won. Must be the new math....
Trump didn’t lose, he has been re-elected!
Who says?
From what Ive seen, it looks like the Democrats picked up seats in both the House and Senate even if they dont appear to have won control of the Senate.
Trump won both in South Carolina and the presidency.
You are going to need to go back to DU.
Like Stealth Jihad...relentless in their diabolical pursuit.
Certainly a nice win.

I dont even need to see the results to know that Gardner lost in Colorado. The GOP picked up one seat in Alabama, and thats it for now.

God bless John James. Prayers up for his protection and for this great nation during our spiritual and moral crisis. Amen
Yep, Dems picked up in both houses. Really worried about Senate. Michigan still in play for President and Senate John James (R) vs. Peters (D). James is up, but I’m sure Detroit, Wayne areas will find some last minute ballots somewhere to give Michigan to Dems.
Remember that the MI seat would be a Republican pickup. Coming into this election, the GOP had a +3 advantage in the Senate. With losses by Gardner and McSally (appointing her to that seat right after she lost in the prior election for the other Senate seat was perhaps the most awful political move by the GOP in years) and a gain in Alabama, that’s a net -1 for the GOP as of right now. So they do have a small bit of breathing room even if Biden wins and the VP breaks ties.
Cunningham GONE! Thank heavens. He voted to impeach Trump and I reminded him often of this FATAL political mistake with emails. If you read his nearly weekly emails to constituents, he seemed moderate. But when you watched how he voted, it was always progressive and Pelosi-driven. A very slick politician, sneaking onto the stage guised as something he was not.
Ive been here a lot longer than you. Im not going anywhere buddy. You are going to find in some local elections the massive fraud by the Democrats is shown by the delta between down ballot voting and the votes for Trump and thats what I was sarcastically referring to.
Democrat fraud is massive.
Sleeper cell?
Democrat fraud is massive
And they still lost I 2016
