The 1619 Project: A Marxist attempt to rewrite history Exclusive: Mychal Massie asks, what if blacks brought to America had stayed in Africa?

"The 1619 Project is an ongoing initiative from the New York Times Magazine that began in August 2019, the 400th anniversary of the beginning of American slavery. It aims to reframe the country's history by placing the consequences of slavery and the contributions of black Americans at the very center of our national narrative." (The 1619 Project – The New York Times Magazine, Aug. 14, 2019.)

It's "an ongoing initiative" because they must continue to invent lies to push their socialist agenda. "It aims to reframe history" through the blatant use of lies and obfuscation for the express purpose of inventing a new history that supplants fact.

The hebephrenic absurdity inherent in this baneful polemic cannot be overstated. This is another highly toxic, viscous substance used to lubricate the flim-flam machine invented and operated by pernicious socialists. These people would claim that lions and tigers were brought to America because the African slaves feared them back in the jungle, and thus zoos were created to keep slaves from running away.

Rock on Mychal. What a load of crap. Slavery was NOT invented on this continent. At one time or another every tribe was subjected to slavery. White, black, red, brown, yellow. If those brought here had stayed in africa, most of them wouldn't have survived until today due to tribal warfare, famine, disease. The best thing to do is vote for conservatives and cast off the chains the democommies have folks trapped in.

Interesting the the writer of 1619 refuses to talk about AFRICA’s part in slavery...Without their greed, there would be no black slaves in the past or today.....

If someone truly wanted to define the start of our country by the importation of slaves, it'd have to be decades before 1619 and acknowledge that the first slaves were whites -- even if you don't count voluntary indentured servitude.

It was much easier and cheaper to capture poor white folks (many of them kids) from the streets of London and other towns and ship them to America as salves than to buy blacks captured by other blacks all the way down in Africa and shipped up north.

Likewise, there were many voluntary indentured servants, almost all of them white, who were treated unfairly when they got here and were often not allowed to leave at the agreed time and/or not have the agreed on land track given to them that they worked for. If you're not allowed to leave at the end of your contract, you're now a slave. And this happened a lot long before the earliest one we know the name of: Antonio Johnson -- a black man we incorrectly say was the first slave owner.

Looking back far enough, every human being alive today has slavery history somewhere in their past.

Only Marxist scum continue to re-open the wounds for political gain.

America had plenty of slaves, and human sacrifice and cannibalism, long before Columbus made his first trip.

Of the slaves taken over the 200 years of the slave trade only about 5 % were taken to North America. The rest went to Central, South America and the Caribbean where they were consumed in the heat and plantations. In North America with its mild climate they survived much better and were valued so in general treated like valuable property ; not consumables. There is no doubt that the ones who came here had a higher survival rate than those taken elsewhere or killed in tribal warfare. So 5% of 20 million or 1 million North American slaves are now 40 million blacks in the US, writng projects like the 1619 story and the Caste book.

If their ancestors had not been brought to America as slaves, Oprah Winfrey, LeBron James and Juan Williams would likely be living in tin roof shacks in the slums of Conakry, Kinshasa or Bissau City, earning $200 per year, and subsisting on corn meal.

If the slave trade had remained as it was before Europeans got involved then all those put on boats would have been marched across the Sahara or east to ports on that side of the continent and sold to Muslims.

Males would be castrated so they would father no children and children resulting from the sex slavery of the women would have been killed ... just as often happened in real life among Muslim lands.

Sometimes reality and truth sucks no matter how you slice it.

Hmmm, what to do with a conquered tribe?

A) Seize their land, crops and livestock, and murder all of them on the spot.
B) Seize their land, crops and livestock, and sell them to the Arabs who will fully emasculate the men and rape and abuse the women to their eventual deaths.
C) Seize their land, crops and livestock, and sell them to the Americans who will have them work their fields, feed clothe, and shelter them and allow them to have children of their own.

Decisions decisions...

why does islam get a pass in slavery?

Because slavery is mandated in the queer-an.

Don't be a bigot!

No they probably wouldn’t exist because they’re ancestors would have been killed or castrated.

If blacks had stayed in Africa, we would be enjoying a much more peaceful and prosperous life.

We should have picked our own damn cotton!

That’s exactly my family’s history. Except for one tiny detail...there was a bit of ‘theft for food’ happen that kept my ancestor indentured for a second 7 years. LOL.

Antonio Johnson -- a black man we incorrectly say was the first slave owner.

Why is that incorrect? I thought David Barton had that well documented.
