CLEVELAND, Ohio Health and elections officials in Cuyahoga County are urging voters diagnosed with COVID-19, or voters who feel ill, to use Ohios curbside voting option on Tuesday.
Though curbside voting is a long-standing practice in Ohio and available to everyone, the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections and Board of Health want ill voters to exercise the option this year, as coronavirus infections skyrocket across the state.
For someone that is ill or has been diagnosed with COVID, we STRONGLY encourage you to utilize the curbside voting option, a Board of Health spokeswoman told The Plain Dealer and cleveland.com on Monday in an email. The same advice was echoed by a Board of Elections spokesman.
To vote at thecurb at your polling location:
*Send someone into the polling location on your behalf.
*Your designee will need to stand in the regular check-in line and inform poll workers that you need curbside service.
*A bipartisan team of election officials will meet you outside and give you your ballot.
*Privately cast your vote and give it back to the bipartisan team, which will return it inside to be counted.
Election officials want anyone exposed to COVID-19, showing symptoms of COVID-19, or diagnosed with COVID-19 to use curbside voting. Anyone who feels ill should also use curbside voting. And anyone who is not sick but still concerned about risking an infection vote at the curb if they wish.
Curbside voting is available at all polling locations statewide.
The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections is taking extra health safety precautions this year due to the pandemic. Sanitation officials will monitor social distancing at the polls, and frequently clean commonly touched items, such as voting machines and booths.
Single-use pens will be provided, and masks will be available for voters who forget to bring their own.
I’ve had a bad cold for over a week now. But I will NOT be tested. No way. No how. I know of no non-home remedy treatment that is any better than home remedies anyway. Why would I go to a hospital?
And why would I get tested?
Hold on....so let me see if Ive got this straight. So, if you have the virus, you must not enter the polling place, but you can send someone who has been exposed to you for who knows how long into the polling place to stand in line for you? Umm....OK.
Thanks for this. My Cleveland friend just got sick yesterday and was concerned about being able to vote. I just shared this with him.
I honestly think that for the good of the children, if you are concerned about having COVID or getting Covid you should just stay home today. Of course, Republicans arent concerned so really, I mean democrats. For the good of the children!!!!
Fake drivers licenses are really easy to get. This is just another of the Lefts fake ballot harvesting to throw the election to Biden.
Dear Lord, please do not let the Left cheat Biden into the WH.
OHIO PING!
Please let me know if you want on or off the Ohio Ping list.O
Diagnosed with COVID-19? Feeling ill? Use Ohios curbside voting option on Election Day
