Syracuse, N.Y. -- Gov. Andrew Cuomo today eliminated the ever-growing quarantine travel list with a new testing requirement for those entering New York from other states.
Instead, all people entering New York will have to bring proof of a negative coronavirus test, Cuomo said. That test must be within three days of coming into the state.

Interstate commerce violation? If not, can states block illegal immigrants?
Hope the last person leaving NYC turns off the lights
As Yogi Berra once said,
“Deja vu, all over again!”
Mr mm needs to go back to finish cleaning out the house and barn (which is mostly his stuff anyways) that are more than ready to close on so we have no choice.
The buyers bank just needs to give us a closing date.
I’m staying here in NH.
He’s going to leave as soon as he votes Tues so will be in state before this takes effect, and will be leaving ASAP.
They’ll have to revise the plan when the grocery stores run out of inventory... JAG-OFFS! I wonder if this will occur to any of them before the self-blockade starts, or if riots will be required...
They mentioned a QR scancode; if someone doesn’t have a smartphone with them, then what?
"Try getting results from a Covid test within 3 days. A friend is having to do this to return to France, and had a helluva time finding a place that would do it. $300.
This is bureaucratic BS with no consideration for the real world in Covid testing." It's gonna snarl things up even more. Unintended consequences.
Better carry paper like its 1984. There will be no escape from the Rona vax just like smallpox but not as deadly or as contagious or as long lasting on surfaces so uh nothing like smallpox o
Or I can just never go to that Marxist hellhole again. Yeah, that works for me.
I seem to remember Cuomo getting very angry earlier this year when other states were doing this to fleeing New Yorkers. What’s he going to do with people who refuse or test positive, put them in one of his nursing homes?
New York consumes a lot more than it produces. It has businesses that need to ship their products out of state. I’ll be making some popcorn on the day they either try to impose this on interstate truckers or explain to their citizens why the truckers are exempt while everyone else needs to show their papers, comrade.
Any chance we could build the next Wall around NY?
He’s getting rid of all the toll booths on the NYS Thruway in the very near future. There’s plenty of ways to bypass the Thruway, and travel out of State. I’ve done it many times in the past, and there’s no way he will be able to catch the folks who use back roads to cross the State line. I don’t know how he expects to enforce this. He doesn’t have that many State Police to begin with, and I doubt he’ll get the various County Sheriffs, and local P.D.’s to enforce it. They’ve got other problems to contend with than playing dog catcher.
Thankfully, my flying days are over. I hung my broom up for good.
He certainly did.
When RI was the first to do it, he blew an absolute gasket.
Interestingly, RI has been on the restricted states list when the rest of New England wasn't. I suspect that that move is pure retaliation.
$300 for a test that isn't 100% accurate? I have a friend whose son worked with a guy who had virus-like symptoms. Over a period of weeks, her son, and the guy he worked with had three tests. The first two were negative for both of them. On the third test, they both tested positive. By the time my friend's son got his test result back, he'd already passed the infectious stage, and the doctor told him he could go on vacation with the rest of the family. Nobody else in the family got sick.
I'd like to knock Cuomo's and de Blasio's light out.
That’s my thought exactly.
We usually don’t leave or enter the state by interstate anyways.
We take a kind of back roads route and if need be, mr. mm can hop on Rt 20 near Albany. It’ll take longer, but east of Cazenovia, 20 isn’t bad.
Between Caz and Skaneateles, however, it’s a death trap.
LOL!!!
I’ve taken Route 20 into Massachusetts on numerous occasions over the years. I’ve also taken Route 15 South from Rochester, all the way to Gettysburg, Pa. I broke down and signed up for EZ-Pass. I really didn’t want to do it, because I don’t use the Thruway very often, but when I do go anywhere, I need to have access to bathrooms on a regular basis. Getting old sucks.
So these politiscum have destroyed the state for only one reason in that they hate Trump. I only shrug because it seems New Yorkers are just fine with it all.
The article does not say if this is to apply to people driving through the state.
For example, if I am driving from NH to my property in FL, am I going to be stopped at the NY boarder and forced to take a test?!?!?!
Is this Cement-Head trying to revoke the “Privileges and Immunities Clause” of the Constitution?
Not a problem for me. There is no reason for me to ever go to NY. I have no family there and there is nothing that I want to see bad enough for me to set foot in that hellhole.
