Syracuse, N.Y. -- Gov. Andrew Cuomo today eliminated the ever-growing quarantine travel list with a new testing requirement for those entering New York from other states.
Instead, all people entering New York will have to bring proof of a negative coronavirus test, Cuomo said. That test must be within three days of coming into the state.

Exceptions for NJ, CT, and PA commuters.
Also for border counties of MA and VT.
I have no plans to enter NY for the foreseeable future. The best way to see it is in the rear-view mirror.

Interestingly, NY has just put in an electronic tolling system that takes effect this week.
So no stopping anyone at toll booths.

Who in the hell would want to go to NY? My state, South Carolina was doing great until Cuomo ran his people out of NY in May. they came here for the summer, every other car on the way to Hilton Head or in restaurants, hotels, resorts had license plates from NY or NJ. Still, Beaufort county, a population of about 195,000, has only had 6500 positives with 93 deaths. and clown Cuomo is worried about people coming to his hellhole?

A lot of truth there....it’s the state where I was born and raised but left when I was 21 - many, many years ago..Left family behind but never went back. By the time my husband and I got ready to retire, it was NOT a state that attracted us - too many democrats even then..
Try getting results from a Covid test within 3 days. A friend is having to do this to return to France, and had a helluva time finding a place that would do it. $300.
This is bureaucratic BS with no consideration for the real world in Covid testing.
