British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced a "circuit break" lockdown in England for the month of November as the nation struggles to contain the coronavirus.
The lockdown will commence Nov. 5 and end Dec. 2, when the country will return to the tiered system based on the latest data.
Residents will be allowed to leave their homes only for essential reasons, such as education, work, shopping and exercise. All non-essential services will be closed.

He is going to shut down an entire nation for a virus that kills less then 1% of those who catch it?

Lockdowns do not contain the virus. They are not magic. The virus will still exist and it will still infect people after a lockdown. The human race would never have survived exposure to new viruses and bacteria if lockdowns had always been the excepted way of “defeating” them.
If Britain wants to be like this,they should have let Hitler do what he wanted and acted like France.
